Q.What is Insurgency?
A. Insurgency ("INS") is a total conversion modification (multiplayer) for Half-Life 2, which runs on Valve's Source game engine.
Insurgency takes you across the modern battlefield, engaging in intense firefights and battles as a member of either a highly organized and equipped conventional force (US Marines), or as an unconventional fighter that uses a combination of firepower and bravery to take on their sometimes overwhelming opponent (Insurgents).
Intense realism will keep you alert as you and your team try accomplish the mission's objectives. Specified roles are included within each Squad that make up your team's Platoon. Command and control from a 4-soldier Fireteam, to an 8-soldier Squad, up to a 32-soldier Platoon. A unique point system ensures that online combat veterans will be rewarded for their leadership and tactical abilities so that they can rise through the ranks and command the platoon.
Grab one of the many weapons in the arsenal and join the fight using guerrilla tactics against the powerful enemy, fire RPGs at enemy infantry, or deploy your machine gun to take down entire platoons!
Q. Where can I download the mod?
A. Insurgency is available on Steam, Valve's online distribution system. If you already own a Source-based commercial game such as Half-Life 2 (or any of its episodes), Portal, Counter Strike: Source or Team Fortress 2 you will have Insurgency listed under your "My Games" list on your Steam client. You can install Insurgency from there and you the game will receive automatic updates as soon as they are available.
Q: Will Insurgency take advantage of HDR/Phong, etc?
A: Yes.
Q. How much will Insurgency cost?
A. It's free! You just need to have another Source-based videogame to be able to play.
Q. Where can I find more information about the mod?
A. Please visit Insmod.net for detailed information on all aspects of Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat.

Operation: CO-IN has now officially changed their name over to 'Insurgency.'
The modern battlefield has witnessed many engagements between Guerrilla and Conventional forces. Insurgency will bring these fights to an online multiplayer battlefield using Valve's Source Technology from Half-Life 2. Engage in past, present, and fictional infantry battles throughout the world. From the Balkans to Iraq to Chechnya, join as either an Unconventional or Conventional team that caters to both casual and tactical gamers.
With the name change, comes once again a new website at a new domain (www.insurgencymod.net)

Looks very nice. Can't wait for it. :)
Ah,sorry.Forget it :) I found a lot news :)
First of all, this mod was created long before with the name 'Modern Warfare' for Half-Life. When we moved to Half-Life 2, most of our design changed to accomodate the new engine and were renamed to Operation: CO-IN... you might want to take a look at our old profile: Moddb.com
We simplified our name from Operation: Counter-Insurgency to just 'Insurgency.' We had no prior knowledge of your mod's existence, nor have I even seen it before until today. If any features of ours are similar to yours, it is strictly coincidence... considering that they are both war based mods, I'm not too surprised.
You don't have to be so hostile. You're looking really unprofessional and immature in how you are conducting yourself... You could have privately contacted us to save your embarassment.
