Insurgency is here! Modern Infantry Combat on Valve's Source Engine. Insurgency (INS) is a total conversion of Half-Life 2 focused on tactical and realistic gameplay.
Insurgency goes ESL
Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat has been selected by ESL, the popular European competitive gaming platform, to be part of their selection of games with active online tournaments. ESL becomes the first major league to support Insurgency. To celebrate this event an Insurgency Opening Cup will take place this September. This is understood as a prelude of future European Insurgency leagues.

The popular European online gaming platform ESL has chosen INSURGENCY as one of their games; in their own words:
"We are happy to finally get the chance of bringing Insurgency to the ESL, which is the first major league that is supporting this awesome mod. After competing on a small Insurgency community league and gathering a lot of competitive clans, the ESL has realized the potential of Insurgency."
To spice up the first weeks of Insurgency at the ESL there's an Opening Cup scheduled for the 22nd of September, make sure you register your team before 12/09/08 at 20:00 hours to secure a spot in the competition! After the Opening Cup takes place, an INS 5on5 league is expected to take off, so there will be no better chance to decide which are the best Insurgency clans in Europe. Teams need to have at least 5 players registered to take part in the ESL Insurgency Opening Cup.

Max Teams: 16
Structure: Double Elimination
Team size: 5on5
Match mode: 2 maps
ESL Insurgency Opening Cup Schedule:
Round 1: Monday 22 September - 20:00 CET
Round 2: Monday 29 September - 20:00 CET
Round 3: Monday 06 October - 20:00 CET
Round 4: Monday 13 October - 20:00 CET
Loser bracket final: Monday 20 October - 20:00 CET
Final: Thursday 23 October - 20:00 CET

if im not mistaking but i think it should say "Round 3: Monday 06 October - 20:00 CET" in stead of "Round 3: Monday 06 September - 20:00 CET"
