Insects Infestation concept combines combat capabilities and strategy oriented gaming. In fact, it does not only allow to shoot anybody at anytime but it emphasizes on team play tactics.
Obviously based on insects point of view, II will offer its player to choose among three different insect species such as Ants, Termites and Alliances. Each of these will have its own set of unique weapons, powers, behaviour and abilities. To add a little interest, species will be available in two main starting classes: Soldiers or Builders. Classes will eventually evolve into six distinct classes as you play, again to give even more diversity to the game.
The goal is to kill the enemy queen and for sure, to kill any enemy player that would dare being in your way. Since the game will be team oriented, you will really have to work as a team. When you will start the match, you will be next your nest and you will have to build your colonie's offensive as well as defensive structures. While players will be building resources or protect the Queen, others will prepare their tactics to attack the enemy. The more you play as part of a team, the more you win.
Another interesting point about the goal is that II will also support different gaming modes. There will be a training mode, allowing you to understand each insect particularities. You will also have a FireFly mode where you will have to take control of all FireFlies in the map and many more.
As you can see, this fresh and original mod for HL2 will give its players a new level of intensity and a really interesting gaming experience. Stay tuned !

This patch will patch from v1.0.x to v1.0.7, no other patches are required, just the main client or an older version.
[Added] AFK system, players afk for 60+ secs will stop receiving resources
[Added] A key binding for "giveres 10" in options
[Updated] When all capture points are captued on DOM map the round now ends
[Updated] Plants give less point now (3 for upgrade and 1 for all the other plants)
[Updated] Termite buy menu, swapped the coprinus with the magic mushroom's slot and cost
[Updated] mp_votemap_round var changed to mp_max_rounds
[Fixed] Rare crash in spectator
[Fixed] Cactus / Geastrum shooting through walls
[Fixed] Resources / Upgrades planst being hard to build
[Fixed] Roll angle in spectator view not reseting
[Fixed] Votemap bug where it couldn't work with more then 2 consecutive votes
[Fixed] Scoreboard map name being sometimes overlapped with older map name

LOL Wow. Love the idea of this mod. Almost a blast from the past when I think of it...I remember the days of playing SimAnt for hours on end. This looks so much better!

Are there any severs
This is an excellent concept, but I found the gameplay to be a bit slow. The last time I played it I rarely fought the enemy team, and didn't run into them very often either. Those cactuses are really effective, perhaps too effective. The combat felt a little clumsy too, with a few weapons doing almost negligible damage, they were more of a deterrent (unless of course that was their purpose). The kid in me really liked the poop attack though. I spent way too much time crapping at the top of hills and then giggling like an idiot as I watched the turds roll down it. The sad part was that I could do this for quite some time and never have to worry about being attacked. I can't blame that part on the game though, it was really just a lack of players.
Not going to say to much for now, but the medic will be a very useful class. It will be able to heal both health and armour on the player, will have an anti-air unit attack, as well as a couple of other nify abilities. just wait and see. :)
Truly a oridginal mod. I love it. There has been new patches out every week so far so keep your self updated. nice work.
If this is any hint about how it will look whit the fully compleated mod done.... i will bee waiting for team nr 3, alience or wasp or what you like to call it. Or the flying class.
I am a bit confused over what the healing chass is going to bee used for. allready have plants. Will the repair armor so they bee worth useing? or will you try to balance it out some how by makeing the plants heal buildings better then players? it will bee interesting to see how you work it out. No mater how it turns out i will bee there playing this mod from time to time.
Shame there's nobody online to play against... :|
