hello. back with some feedback. i started a short game in single and then had a friend come over to test it on LAN.

single works great and LAN works great, no noticable bugs so far

however i did notice some things that were not altered to fit the rescaling of structures and units

two things i found
*structure sizes ave visually changed but they still hold the same
size as original structures. (the green circle around the structures
are as big as before and they cannot be placed closer together)
*effects for both structures and vessels are the same
-engine trails
-projectile/energy beam size
-construction buildings (Vasari titan foundary having the old huge light effects)
-death effects

well, thats all i have for now but i have a question.
could/will you upload two versions of the mod, one with the resized units and structures, and one with the stock sized units and structures?

or you could have a optional addon with the resized things in it (i think that would be better actually)

EDIT: would like to mention that the LAN game was a constant play at about 4 and a half hours ^^

Yeah I thought so, I'm looking to resize the particle effects as well, but I have to figure out how I can batch it because there are about 850 particle files :D

OH!!. yeah, thats a lot of files. but how big is each one aprox?

and you could always pack them into seperate/multiple zip/rar files, depending on the overall size of the particle effect files, say 1.4G you could have two zip/rars at 500MB and the third at 400MB.
EDIT: and that would wrap it up at three reasonable downloads ^^

it wouldent be ideal for the impatient gamer but it would do as a starting point. no?

EDIT: oh and thanks, when i test mods, i document bugs as i play into text for later reference

Not big (about 5kb-ish average) but it's alot of work, I'm going to resize the most important ones first (i.e. exhaust, phasejump fx).

Structure sizes have been changed and now represent the mesh size :D

I'm going to finish the mod as a complete package, and then I'll try and split it into several packs :)

a small issue: construction frigates will spawn inside of the planets. the game quickly corrects this by tossing the frigate to the planet's surface, but it's still worth a look

and yeah, the effects issue is especially obvious with the strike craft.

also, were you planning on resizing the extractors relative to the asteroids?

I'll look into the construction frigate spawning when I'm done with tweaking the planets :)

As for the effects, they should be fixed in the new release which I'll upload in a few days.

Also, the extractors on the resource asteroids have been scaled evenly so they should be the same size.

from what ive seen they should spawn in front of the frigate factory.
