InfantryMod2 Version 1.2 is ready!!
This mod is a modification for Battlefield 2...
What's different from the original game...
- REMOVED: commander mode
- REMOVED: vehicles
- REMOVED: grenades (+launchers), claymores, c4, mines
- ADDED: flag capturing will NOT be affected by the amount of people capturing...
- ADDED: flag by flag gamemode for some levels
- LEVELS:
-> Crosstown (16 + 32 players) by Paus Paul
-> Gulf of Oman Infantry
--- 16 players: NEW INFANTRY VERSION
--- 32 players: normal 16 player version with FLAG BY FLAG
--- 64 players: normal 16 player version
-> Eagle Island (16 + 32 players) by MasterTom[NL]
-> Kubra Dam Infanty (16 + 32 players) by MasterTom[NL]
-> Mashtuur City Infantry
--- 16 players: Street by MasterTom[NL]
--- 32 players: normal 16 player version
-> Sharqi Peninsula Infantry
--- 16 players: The Yard by MasterTom[NL]

On Some Pc's the old installer didnt work... so this one does. Thanks to Fleuschlego for the heads up. :)

Can someone PLEASE explain to me what Flag by Flag is??
from what Ive seen it sound pretty good, but y disable claymores? they are very helpful defences for snipers... y not just make it 1 clay instead of 2...
I think flag by flag is where you can only capture one flag before moving on to the nest in line. So there's no way to go all the way to an undefended back flag and take it, everyone's concentrated on one flag.
If everyone's at one flag (and packed in there) it would be too easy to kill tons of people with explosives aka claymores, nades, etc.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

2. new version of Eagle Island
3. new version of Gulf of Oman (for better Infantry style battles)

atm im busy doing stuff for Project Reality...
...and im still working on another map too.

You're absolutely right mate...
BUT...
a very large group of people wants to battle without all those vehicles and stuff...
...they just want to battle with infantry skills.

i prefer WITH tanks as well... but hey... im just a modder... i love what i do. :)
ok...
because i know my way around in Visual Basic...
i decided to create my very own installer.
the clientfiles are now packed in a .cab file...
which makes the extracting faster/easier and better.
ow...
the installer also creates a shortcut on your desktop...
aint it cool?

Good idea for a minor modification, I personally suggest if you're actually going for the full blown realism and not a psuedo attempt, you remove conefire, add iron sight aiming, bring back squads (or the option) and up it to 32 players max.
As I see it, there really is no need to cut the player limit as long as you tweek the game machanics in the appropriate manner to where it forces the players to play realistically and without spray & pray, conefire, run and gun, etc.
Easiest first step in forcing realism is to simply add the leaning ability. Any fps that does not have leaning/prone is not realistic regardless of how hard you try to make it so. I think this is a good start for a mod attempting to bring skill back into fps gaming.
