My name is Thomas Edwards, a Citizen under the control of the Combine Wave of Death and Destruction. I can still remember when the Combines arrived in England, It was in all the TV stations. It didn't take long before the Soldiers arrived and took what privileges we had. It isn't even England anymore.
I live in a small flat in London , from what I've heard all over the world the Combines have been Destroying homes and countries. We all watched as they tore down London, from famous buildings to homes. They built a Fortress up near the coast of England where the Combines working in England Operate. The Fortress is a heavily guarded and is next to impossible to reach alive. Vortigaunts have been there and what we've heard it all bad. They are holding prisoners and torturing them for information on how to find a Dr Freeman.
I am sick and tired of Combine Soldiers bullying us or sending us to the Fortress as prisoners. So I'm going to that Fortress and Destroying it, its wont be easy but hell its better than staying under their control.

We missed a Christmas release because of Hammer problems but we have sorted that out and are have begun mapping again.

Great job improving it.
I was pleased to be able to play the beta version of this demo for 8472, we found a lot of faults, it seems some of which hasn't been dealt with. The gameplay although is well put together, even though every bit of AI including Gunships is stupid and it doesn't seem like Noding has been put down.
Graphically this demo has some serious overhauling to do as everything from buildings to cliffs was block brushes and in the same texture. I also feel their were too many ammo boxes that never ran out, and then their was health in every sector. this meant that due to the stupidness of everyone (npc's) you could resupply and go back and total them.
Although still good to play a little more background would be nice and maybe make it known that those forcefields (all of them) can't be switched off. Look forward to a re-release of this demo soon.

lol, I walked around for 10mins shooting random stuff with the rocket launcher and I somehow missed that.

Alone_In_The_Dark, I'm not sure what you're saying. But singleplayer demos for HL2 are around 16MB in size most of the time. I was commenting on how mush stuff they must have put into it.
But I'm not really seeing it. In the desription, you portray the game to be a realistic story driven action mod. Hence why you put "Action > First-Person > Realistic" for its gameplay style.
The demo didn't display any of these qualities. I think I got stuck though. I don't know how to take down all those forcefields you have all over the place and couldn't get past the big one, right after you blow up the gunship.
The custom textures seemed a little pointless.Why not use the original textures on the SMG and other things like that? It'll make the size of the download smaller. That was a pretty big download for such a small level (I think the level is small. Like I said, I think I'm stuck)The ground looked like it was dirty sand with grass mixed in. I guess it was the Combine Beach level, I think I recognized those metal pillars. But in that picture (http://www.moddb.com/mods/gallery/image/33809) the area looks much better. In the demo the rocks looked very blocky. It looked almost like the level should have been on Xen, rather then a beach.
But I'm guessing all the glaphic issues are due to the fact that the demo is a very early build and all those bugs will be worked out.
But the story...well, it wasn't there. And I still don't know how to get passed those forcefields. Oh, and you need to fix those invisible walls.
I understand that the demo was a very early build and wish you luck on completeing this project.
If anyone knows how to get past those forcefields, please share your wisdom.

I know, but everytime I find an inventive mod to follow, it directly has a heart attack and dies horribly.
So few singleplayer mods make it, I hope this one does.
Wow, 31MB and it's just a demo.
I'll let you know what I think after play it.
