This mod started out as a 'Buildings Mod', with the objective to add more nice and useful buildings to the game, but many more improvements where needed and many ideas where coming so the 'Improvement Mod' was born. Working with the Steam and non-Steam versions of the game, this mod tries to upgrade the game with small, big and necessary tweaks, changes and adds to make the gameplay more interesting, fun and challenging. All known bugs from the original game have been fixed. It's being updated very often and everything is of the highest quality and bug-less. Check out the "Features" tab for more details. This mod is only for TAD but requires AOE3+TWC+TAD 1.03.

Now some important facts about this mod.

Well, it started over a year ago and since then it has been continuously updated, every month with numerous updates. This is how I work, I like to release new versions as quickly as I can, and don't like to make people wait. Maybe it is not the best strategy but it is my strategy.
At the beginning, I only wanted to make a mod which adds more buildings, I for one like to build and make nice towns, so I focused on adding unused buildings like the ones from campaigns. But, I had far more ideas, and while it was a lot of work for one man I still started to work on them anyways.

What can you expect from this mod?
Well anything I can say. This is a very big project.
The first place where this mod appeared, a place I use even today as the main website to share it and immediately release updates, is AoE3 Heaven Games. Since it's release, my mod had the most downloads, comments and ratings in the modding category from the website, and will have so a long time from now.
Like any serious mod, mine has many revolutionary ideas and much 'eye candy'.
If you want to know what the mod is all about read the setup's 'Readme Information' or the 'readme' file after you install the mod.

While I work completely alone on the mod, over time I did used ideas from the community and accepted/requested help with various things from people who support my work.
I also used stuff from other popular or less poplar mods, sometimes with permissions, sometimes without, but I always gave credit and respected those who made them.

I don't know what more can I say, so if you have any questions be sure to ask.
And you might wanna check out the mod more often on it's blog than you check it here if you want to stay up to date, because I will release updates more often there than I will here.

For the end I want to apologize for my poor English, I try my best but I know I am far from speaking it perfect. This has not affected the quality of the mod in any way, I always double check every word.

Also in deathmatch USA civ cannot advance to the imperial age since the button just disappears as soon as you enter industrial age. I haven't tried with the other civs but the upgrades for the imperial age are still visible so I think this may also be a bug.

See, I'm trying to build a fortress where the artillery stays behind the walls. I find it annoying that they move around so much after seeing an enemy (bloodthirsty bunch) breaking the formation I gave them and sometimes going OUTSIDE just to kill it's target. If it's too much to ask you could tell me what to write and which line do I need to enter the code in the protoy.xml file. I think it's there where you do most of your editing right? Oh yeah! also if there is an update could you add a trenches build option for European and US forces? :3

Hah... I edited... hundred of files to get where I am...
But no, formations are not in "proto". It's much complicated.

I did want to add such an option for artillery, but... It's again kinda complicated to explain why it doesn't work so good...

The only thing I can do right now it's to make them "stand ground" every time they are in "bombard mode". So I'll do that and tell me if I should eave it that way.

You'll get the modification through the patcher of course.

Figures... Anyways, I kinda understand how complicated it really is. I mean, just reading through the proto makes my brain go overclock ( lol ). Standing ground in bombard mode works fine for me. I'll try it as soon as you get an update and give you my feedbacks again. Since I always run my aoe the normal way since if I ran the patcher it'll just replace some of my own... "modifications" I only run the patcher whenever there's an update.

I've just updated the mod with the Patcher on 7 SEP 2012 and the game lag badly in the menu. I can barely select anything in there. And I also cannot run TWC or AOE3 anymore (it said 'initialization fails'). Please help.

That makes no sense, after 2 years you are the only one that said after installing the mod you get lag in the menu... I think the mod is not the problem.

I dunno about TWC but AoE3 is indeed broken by something inside the mod. That shouldn't matter anyways cuz if you have TAD the others rly don't matter anymore.

First of All Thank you for your reply. Second, It says on your blog as well as the description that "Every version of this mod should be installed on a fresh, unmodified version of Age of Empires 3 The Asian Dynasties". It could mean EVERY(All) version of this mod should be installed in the AoE directory. Or, EVERY(EACH) versions of the mod should be installed in the AOE directory. Either way it's really confusing. So some people might take it the wrong way. ( like me )
