Welcome to my mod. Since I've been playing Vegas 1 & 2 I've heard people complain that certain weapons in the game just aren't realistic. So I researched the weapons in the game and found... They were right! While I haven't adjusted characteristics like the steadiness (or lack thereof) of the weapons when being held or fired (yet, I just might later), I have changed just about everything else. WARNING!!! This mod increases the realism of the game, i.e. it is even more difficult. But since the game has been out for a while I thought people might be up for a little more of a challenge. I adjusted all the weapons to have characteristics closer to the real ones. Most weapons now have slightly better penetration. Weight and fire rate is also now proportional to the real weapon's. I took away unlimited pistol ammo. Movement speed is now proportional to the weapon's weight. Ammo carrying ability is also more realistic. Weapons feature realistic fire select options. Realistic silencers & more.

Can you disable the infrared/night vision? I want to use the default helmet with the goggles down and not have to have the overlay visible. THX!

There used to be a bug that would do this, but it may have been taken out in the update. I do not have access to the part of the game that would let me make that change. Sorry.

Unfortunately it looks like they did not want to make this game mod friendly. They used Unreal engine 2.something and it isn't supported by the modding software for Unreal 2 or 3 as far as I know or at least last time I checked. They also locked away a lot of content. It could have been to prevent cheating online, but there could have been easy ways to accommodate modding for online by making it a part of the host setup so only people with that mod could join that game. This game could have been HUGE if they had let people mod, with just content mods alone. Think of all the different weapons and gadgets there could have been, not to mention armor! And even better with a level editor. Could you imagine all the Multiplayer maps there could have been? I used to really like multiplayer in this game by the way, but shotguns were way too accurate and had way too much range. [Last time I checked snipers didn't use shotguns.] And sub-machine guns were way too powerful, almost as powerful as the rifles, which made them pretty much useless. And the order that you unlock weapons was flipping ridiculous. That's why I decided to create this mod.And modded levels for single player would be awesome as well. Just the first level alone would be so much better if there were alternate paths to the final destination. But sadly it will never happen. We can only hope that someday game creators will actually think of and listen to their fans.

I just added a version of my mod for PS3. Now I don't have a PS3 to test it out on, so I would appreciate feedback that anyone has to offer. I am also curious if you can play multiplayer online with my PS3 mod installed. Might make it worth getting a PS3 off Ebay or Amazon!

You should really consider making the enemies have less health. It honestly seems like they can kill me with shots to the chest easily with an M11, but when I use an MP5N it takes an entire magazine to kill someone

Unfortunately that part of the game I cannot mod. If they are killing you with a MAC11 then you either are not wearing any body armor, or they are shooting you in the head. That is one thing about this game that I will give the game makers credit for is that the enemies are pretty decent shots, where most games they couldn't hit you if you ran into their bullets!
I just uploaded version 2.4 of my mod. Check it out!

A little strange that the mags aren't the standard mags by default, but I can fix that myself. Other than that, great mod.

Are you referring to the fact that most of the assault rifles use the G3 mags and the same for the snipers with the PSG mags?
