i search a mod like misery with new weapons, items, graphic, sounds... but not so difficulty.

how do i revert to vanilla gun sounds?, tried removing gamedata-sounds-weapons but it crashes in loading screen.

I play it with steam and I had follow the intructions for intalling the mod.

I'm almost positive that Call of Pripyat uses a feature called TAGES. Western copies of Clear Sky used TAGES. It essentially incorporates a disk check while the program is running. That could be the main issue, the game on your driver is failing to check for the disk even though the disk is in the driver. Perhaps you could try using a crack for Call of Pripyat, it may or may not work though.
