No, it’s not a joke, and no, we don’t really hate mountains. “I Hate Mountains” is the name of a Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 campaign made by three French friends. Be aware that this campaign is built the Valve way, we are not trying to revolutionize anything, we just want to provide more content to this awesome game. The campaign is divided into five different maps, just like Valve did with their own campaigns in Left 4 Dead 1. The difference is that ours is entirely nature-oriented, there’s only a few building and most of the action takes place in outdoor environments, which is a challenge to build in itself. We also focused our development on offering a better re-playability by providing several long alternate paths in the levels that can totally change the way you play it.
What the hell was going on? Where were we during these last 382 days? What about the campaign? When will it be released? You will find the answer to all these questions in there!

It's been a long time since we last updated our ModDB.com profile page, 382 days to be exact. Sorry for the break but we were too busy working on the campaign and trying to keep our own website, ihatemountains.com, up to date to bother. Now that the release day is approaching, we decided to give this profile a little makeover because it will help us spread the news of the release when the time will come. We'll also redirect a part of our downloads here, so we needed it to be cleaned up and neat.
What's been going on this last year? Well, we had a hell of nightmare were we dreamed we were working our asses off a damn Left 4 Dead campaign with no help from Valve, using a broken SDK and a broken documentation for a broken game! Could you believe that? Yeah, I know. Hopefully, we're awake now, and it's time to stop ranting about everything and actually do something.
For those you missed the thing, we released our video trailer last week.
I also added all our "promotional" pictures to the gallery, 50 of them, 10 for each level.
The release of the campaign is now set on the 4th of June 2010.
