Hypersonic Source Raceway - A mix of pure genious, Need for speed quality, with a little dose of Grand Theft Auto Fun, added together gives you the best source engine modification to knock your socks off!
Hypersonic Source Raceway will be ultilizing the source engine's vehicle code for the buggy on a whole new level, we will create systems to be used while driving such as nos effects, you can use it in spurts or just simply hold it down to waste it, when your out of nos, try driving over 100mph to get it back bit by bit over time it will fill itself back up.
Cars will shift gears based upon their speed and their current gear will be displayed on the hud along with the mph and your current ammount of nos.
The max mph of any givin object has been taken off it's normal 113mph limit except for physics props, we only allowed this on vehicles, cars will be able to push the limits or meet the limit of at least 280mph max.
All cars will fall into classes such as the following: Tuner, Muscle, Offroad, and Exotic. Based upon your car make and model and class determins your handling, speed, and top mph. For example i will take the Subaru Impreza, it is considered a Tuner Vehicle Class, now after choosing your class you will also be able to select an engine type which again only depends on the car you have choosen for availability, in this case i'm choosing stock, so the max mph on my car will be approx 145mph without using nos, but with nos it will be about 165-170mph.
On top of just re-doing the vehicle code for these types of realistic gear ratios, and speed setups, etc. We also have taken a look into the customization aspect of the mod, there will be standard paints for each car following the same color patterns but the last skin of the vehicle will be your own customizable skin that you can customize and show off to everyone, we have started to allow modification of your engine upgrade level, and tires for different handling.
We will eventually get to actual physical upgrades such as bodykits, etc.

Here's a small preview of a map currently under development, as I'm sure most of you will see the level is unlit, hasn't been optimised and has buggy brushes. I am also well aware that the quality is absolutely awful, I assure you it didn't look that bad before I "youtubed" it. Anyway the main reason that I uploaded this was to show you guys that I am active and not just "hanging" around :) Have fun etc, etc.

This game would not run. I don't know why, but as soon as I try to create my own server (because there are Zero in the server list) it crashes.

Sorry for the double post but a school system? Hookers? My god! Why not just remake the whole of RPmod with cars! (seriosuly am i the only one who thought that mod was cool... despite it's death by gmod)
Can we veer away from the whole "sellings da drugz, shotinz wiv mah gangz" and stuff? I mean, sure have racing gangs but this is primarily a racing game so just bear that in mind please.

maby you can own houses and stuff, like you go to 1 server and you might own a house and a another server is a another city so you can own a store or house ect... if you know what im talking about lol

Soo, this game is going to be more of an RPG game then racing? I find that awesome, tho... If your robbing a bank, who's going to stop you? A AI cop? If a cop stops you do you just die?, Or just go to jail?, Or will there be "Player Classes" instead?, and when you say "Your" team do you mean there is going to be a gang, rival system? Like for example, 1 Class is a gang, and 1 class is a rival gang, 1 class is a Tuner/street racer, 1 class is a cop, ect...?

2) where are the cars on the maps if you create your own game?
well let me answer that for you,
1) if you have version 7, there are no servers up currently at the moment due to team all running version 8 right now so we can't host dedicated servers for version 7, we will be hosting servers once version 8 is released.
2) well in version 7, we had a bit of an error that caused cars not to work, but for hsr version 8 there will be no cars or very little cars on the maps at first, everyone will be using the car buy menu to purchase or spawn their own cars in the game customize them, as far as paint, tires, and engine tunings, along with car classes, like muscle, tuner, exotic, etc.
well basically to earn money is fairly easy and yet not so easy. there are many ways to earn money in game, the most common is killing another player to pick up their $100 that they drop when they die.
another form is basically pulling of a huge bank heist with your team. Trust me, getting money from a bank is not as easy as it looks. there are much more than that, but of course a lot of it comes from your ingenuity and cunning skill to get as much money so that you can trick out your ride, or have the most feared team in the game, your choice!
