Hypersonic Source Raceway - A mix of pure genious, Need for speed quality, with a little dose of Grand Theft Auto Fun, added together gives you the best source engine modification to knock your socks off!

Hypersonic Source Raceway will be ultilizing the source engine's vehicle code for the buggy on a whole new level, we will create systems to be used while driving such as nos effects, you can use it in spurts or just simply hold it down to waste it, when your out of nos, try driving over 100mph to get it back bit by bit over time it will fill itself back up.

Cars will shift gears based upon their speed and their current gear will be displayed on the hud along with the mph and your current ammount of nos.

The max mph of any givin object has been taken off it's normal 113mph limit except for physics props, we only allowed this on vehicles, cars will be able to push the limits or meet the limit of at least 280mph max.

All cars will fall into classes such as the following: Tuner, Muscle, Offroad, and Exotic. Based upon your car make and model and class determins your handling, speed, and top mph. For example i will take the Subaru Impreza, it is considered a  Tuner Vehicle Class, now after choosing your class you will also be able to select an engine type which again only depends on the car you have choosen for availability, in this case i'm choosing stock, so the max mph on my car will be approx 145mph without using nos, but with nos it will be about 165-170mph.

On top of just re-doing the vehicle code for these types of realistic gear ratios, and speed setups, etc. We also have taken a look into the customization aspect of the mod, there will be standard paints for each car following the same color patterns but the last skin of the vehicle will be your own customizable skin that you can customize and show off to everyone, we have started to allow modification of your engine upgrade level, and tires for different handling.

We will eventually get to actual physical upgrades such as bodykits, etc.
Keep a sharp look out for or next release coming sooner with the new year!

Another look at what goes on during a HSR test. This time round the map has been made into a circuit and has had numerous "extras" added. Most notably a Train and some Traffic. The video is me racing Neo in a BMW M3. The map still needs lighting and optimising but it's 3:36am here and I've got college tomorrow so I'm afraid this can wait for now :) Neo's video is coming tomorrow I think, we'll see what happens.

Also, Check out my Dev Car:

oh yes it will most certainly work much better than half-life 2 rally, we have gone beyond what they thought could not be done, they had said that you couldn't adjust or change the car RPM meter in anyway or display it correctly, well unfortunately they were wrong, not that i'm saying that didn't try hard enough but it does take quite a bit of coding to correctly get a proper RPM and MPH going along with the handling which to everyone including me seems to be the most important factor, we don't want to drive around buggy style now do we? lol. As for the handling yes, you can be assured from both me and all my team mates that it is definitely much better than the normal hl2 buggy handling.

drifting mode has finally been the most important thing now on my mind and on the teams mind in getting cars to actually drift and rack up points based on your drifting skills. we have come very close to getting this drift mode of the game finished, and well, it should be done by the end of this week, and we hope to release a version to everyone by the following week's end.

Will this work better than Half-Life Rally 2?
Because they closed down the production because of problems and limitations of the Source SDK with vehicles.

Please say the vehicle's handling is going to be improved, right now from watching the video they all seem to have the HL2 jeeps inability to turn.

It wasn't my intention to flame/troll you Mod, quite the opposite, I see you guys have some coders on board and that's a plus! Now what I think you guys should do is looking for good GFX team. And blurred images aren't really good to show off, people always want to look for small details and stuff like that, and in a blurry image you can't notice any of those. For beauty shot, don't a use a game engine, instead use a renderer, it's an beauty shot so it doesn't have to be in-game quality. When searching for good GFX artists, advertise in all the forums you can, without spamming, and make sure you tell them you have coders, because most good artist will only join a mod if they have progress or a coder.

well this is because most of the new in-game screens are posted on our website in the media section so that we don't flood the moddb.com gallery with over a million pics. and second, yes some of these cars are from gmow, but that is because thay allowed them to be in our mod, these are cars to get us started and off the ground, but you'll find that they do not feel nor look much like the gmow cars due to our expert coding and GFX artists, thanks for the tip tho about the blurry images, we will preset more clear screens next time around, but the shot of the F40 was meant to be like that, it was named "Beauty Shot" for a reason, to be presented with added effects for a nice image effect. if i were to post an image of an F40 with no bloom, or anything not many people wuld care to look at the picture because it would look to plain and boring.....now would you like to see boring pictures or bright expressive ones that show you how great a source mod can be?

You know they didn't make it right? Right now I am not really impressed with the mod, they haven't showed us any real custom content, at least content made by the team and not by other peoples that compiled their models to the source engine. I see a bit of coding work which is not bad, but the art aspect right now is awful... I see you guys put renders of models and stuff like that but never show them actually in-game or even textured, and most of the screens are blurred which looks terrible.
