Hypersonic Source Raceway - A mix of pure genious, Need for speed quality, with a little dose of Grand Theft Auto Fun, added together gives you the best source engine modification to knock your socks off!
Hypersonic Source Raceway will be ultilizing the source engine's vehicle code for the buggy on a whole new level, we will create systems to be used while driving such as nos effects, you can use it in spurts or just simply hold it down to waste it, when your out of nos, try driving over 100mph to get it back bit by bit over time it will fill itself back up.
Cars will shift gears based upon their speed and their current gear will be displayed on the hud along with the mph and your current ammount of nos.
The max mph of any givin object has been taken off it's normal 113mph limit except for physics props, we only allowed this on vehicles, cars will be able to push the limits or meet the limit of at least 280mph max.
All cars will fall into classes such as the following: Tuner, Muscle, Offroad, and Exotic. Based upon your car make and model and class determins your handling, speed, and top mph. For example i will take the Subaru Impreza, it is considered a Tuner Vehicle Class, now after choosing your class you will also be able to select an engine type which again only depends on the car you have choosen for availability, in this case i'm choosing stock, so the max mph on my car will be approx 145mph without using nos, but with nos it will be about 165-170mph.
On top of just re-doing the vehicle code for these types of realistic gear ratios, and speed setups, etc. We also have taken a look into the customization aspect of the mod, there will be standard paints for each car following the same color patterns but the last skin of the vehicle will be your own customizable skin that you can customize and show off to everyone, we have started to allow modification of your engine upgrade level, and tires for different handling.
We will eventually get to actual physical upgrades such as bodykits, etc.

hey guys, thanks for staying with Vectorgaming and their awsome racing mod :-)
Here's our current updates for today:
We have added in the spoiler customization system
We have added in the neon lighting system
We have added in our first Drag Race Track that features a Cop Chase
We have added in realistic Car lights that turn on and off when the player enters and exits the vehicle
We have also added in our own special NOS2 system which multiplies the cars force of motion by 6 and then add's additional thrust power from the result of that equation.
Ex: car going 120 m.p.h x 6 = thrust power
Very strong NOS2 system that can be used every ten miliseconds, then on top of that it also shakes the players screen everytime NOS2 is used.
There are two seperate types of NOS systems, NOS and NOS2, NOS is the basic sprint/turbo system that valve implimented into the game, and NOS2 is our new system with special effects added and more thrust power.
We have also added in the games music album by a new artist in NY, called Team E.P.I.C, as the games racing music to be used at the players control.
We have also added in a very basic mp3 player system where the player can add their own music to the game and be able to listen to their own music at the push of a button that they set in the controls settings menu.
There more on the way, and i need to get a recording program to record the game in motion so i can show you the awsome system. If anyone has any recomedations to record gameplay into a .avi or movie file let me know!

Are you gonna fix the beta?
well we do have the WRX and we do have planned rally courses but those will be in the final release as a final game mode, but the next public beta will only have a free open dirt course to race around and test out the rally suspension steering, but in the final or next beta after dec 25th's will have full rally
u guys are really good... i can't say anything else, a mod with only 19 people watching it making it to release, i am so downloading this when it comes out good work!
uuuhhh... if i disapeared then explain to me how the profile would be getting updates or changes? lol, sorry i haven't been on msn lately, cause i'm currently building myself a rig with a nice 3.4GHz Pentium 4 Processor, 768MB of RAM, GeForce FX5500 Dual Barrel - Dual Display AGP 8x Video Card and trying to restore windows XP on my first out of three hard drives, so far all i'm able to do with the damn thing is use windows 98 which was sitting on my third hard drive....i hate windows 98, it sucks..........and i just found out today that i need at least 400 watts of power on this new machine to do anything that i want to do, cause currently i'm running 350 watts and it seems like it's just not enough, the pc keeps crashing on me, and no it's not cause of 98, its cause i'm over the wattage on my damn power supply, with all the damn things in my new pc setup i need exactly 355 watts and i have 250 watts lol, anyway i'll be restoring windows xp over win98 today and putting in a 400 watt power supply on top of that, and then i should be back online and the mod moving foward from there.
Guys I have an idea...
Well most of us have tried slow motion jumps in garrysmod or hl2 so howsabout some bullet time style jumping sections. What I mean is like a race around a circuit, and when someone hits the pad (or maybe a powerup) it all goes slo-mo even for the driver.
Sounds pointless if the driver who hits the car keeps going right? Well it isn't. You get reflexes and just imagine having one of those powerups before an epic jump where two cars are colliding in midiar.
QUESTION: Will the cars have destructible parts, so for instance if you rammed a car from the side would the door come off? Or is that not possible in the source engine (which i think it is)
