Much lighter, easier to use and all. Good for a scientist :D
But I'd recommend instead of an AK-47 or 74 (74!!) a Valmet Sako.
A Finnish Assault Rifle based on AK-47. Better to be used, lighter and it is the most accurate assault rifle in history. And still is.
