Psychological horror / dramatic tale about past, present, alternate reality and chain of the events connecting them all together.

Bad news everyone! Sorry, but I had enough of charges...

Now i thinking of connection of Notes and Horizon and change story line until late.
And many of the allegations in my direction about the "theft" of models and music have very annoying. I'm afraid so I will maybe stop developing mods. I'm not a modeler and not a musician, I'm only Level designer and probably the artist, and also my english is very bad and it's so hard to make translations.
Damn, this is the reason I was depressed.

And as always, I apologize for grammatical errors.

Well, I'd say **** them.

I mean honestly, these modelers release their stuff to the net "Don't USE!"

You put it out on the net for anyone to use, going to happen. You could try to get permission, but I've always thought that permission thing was ********.

Once you put out something like on the net for free, it no longer belongs to you. Also, your mods aren't commercial, so it's not like you're making money.

You make awesome mods dude, I really enjoy them. Keep making them, but I understand if you don't want to.

The mod community these days are horrible. Way back when people used to just let people use their models, sounds, whatever, as long as credits were given, or even if not.

They're so anal today because of the potential to go Indie from a good mod being done.

Your English is better than many people who speak it natively, also. People so far have translated your work, so I don't think it's an issue.

Comatose was awesome. Don't let a few jerkoffs who get on their high horses because of stupid stuff. UnderHell is another mod where he had no programmer, no modeler, it was just him, using SMOD as a base, plus models off FPS Banana, and it was one of the best mods I've ever played.

Give credit where credit is due, is all that is asked from any GOOD modeler, or music artist.

I also liked Comatose and I think Aspik is doing great as a mapper, but we shouldn't just squander copyrights. If a creator wants to keep his content unique for his own project, then it's his right to do so. Call it "********" or "anal", but that doesn't change it. People put a lot of time into creating content, so it's up to them to decide what happens with it.

Don't get me wrong though, I strongly support sharing free content but I also respect copyright laws, as every modder on MODDB should.

Aspik: There is enough royalty free content out there, so keep making MODs. Just don't use content you're not allowed to and credit people for their work.

Here here, I mean really what happened to modding? If you like doing it do it, but if the pressure from others is too much take a break but I don't think you should stop modding.

Exactly. I used to do sounds for alot of mods for people, mostly taunts, gunsounds, or so, and when I saw someone use them, that hadn't asked, I smiled, because I liked the thought that someone liked my work enough to use it in their own project. I find that satisfying.

These days people are just worried that your mod might make it big, and their model is in it, and they won't get the proper credit. Modding used to be all about the community.

The fact that modders goal is now to AIM for money is what's doing it, but you cannot really blame them, I mean, I'd do it to, but...it's wrong, but at the same time, ti's right, hard to explain. :P

Mods used to be love-childs, much like your mods are...but then they suddenly stopped when Mods started getting turned retail.

Sorry 4 russian but my translation skills R also not good... )

Так что не опускай руки и продолжай в том же духе. У тебя очень приличный уровень работ, будет жаль если зароешь свой талант в землю из-за пары недовольных баранов.
Успехов!

As the guy who said the first comment said, you are an absolutely great modder! Also many many...MANY other mods also "steal"/copy models from other mods and games(sounds as well). By the way, your english is not too bad really, a great majority of my peers actually speak worse than you, and we go to an all-english school!

Don't listen to the few idiots who downtalk your mod. The efforts that you have put into your modifications are considerable, and the majority of the community agrees with you. At the moment, I don't see a single comment critisizing you or your projects on this news post. I also looked at the comments for your other mods, and saw that there are WAY more positive comments than negative comments. Seriously, go through Comatose or Attempt to Survive and make a ratio on the number of people who enjoyed or didnt enjoy them.

I can see why you might not want to keep going, as modding is often a pain in the ***, but I don't think that this should be the reason you stop. Your productions are superior to a huge number of released modifications. If you want people to shut up, in future projects, use content from sites like FPSbanana or other royalty free sites and stamp credits all over your mod. That will stop most of them. ;P

I've played almost every single Half-Life 2 mod out there, and honestly, excluding Dear Esther 2.0 which hasn't come out yet, your mods are probably one of the most visually impressive I've seen. You actually use cinema techniques, camera movements and crazy color filters to make something special I've rarely seen anywhere else

You can't only have fans. As soon as you start becoming popular, you WILL have haters, no matter how good you are. This is how it is, and how it will always be. Get used to it because the more popular you get, the more you will hear from these random haters who just want to bitch for no reason.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before but why not try to assemble a team with some modelers and musicians? I know that it's a lot easier to work alone but since there seams to be problems with the models you are using now, I'd recommend working together with someone or learn to model yourself. I have done some HL2 modding myself and learned to use 3DS MAX for creating models and exporting them to the game. Don't give up modding if you loving doing it.

or use this:

Moddb.com
(press link; otherwise all it shows is "moddb.com")
this only solves problems for models though, and it does not COMPLETELY solve the problem...but at least it lessens it.

I say if they dont wont people using their stuff then stop putting it on such a very open engine like source I mean seriously the whole thing I practicly free to throw around and use as you please
so what theres a few css models or whatever other models I dont give a flying ****
You can't get so ****ing ****** about files that are not locked up where nobody can use them.
If you want to whine about something that is open for use not being owned by the person who is making the game then you just need to shut your ****ing mouth before somebody gets ****** off at you and has to put 20 ****ing disclaimers in their own mod.

When will these jackasses grow up!?!?!?

EDIT: sorry bad grammer I typed this hastefuly but maybe you can still understand it
