As the first news post here on ModDB, I'd like to lay out some of the groundwork that's so far been omitted from this site, and then talk about the current state of the mod.

Our goal here is, in brief, to use Homeworld 2 as an engine, a platform to develop a sequal to Homeworld 1 and Cataclysm, discarding most concepts and essentially all assets and gameplay from Homeworld 2 as we go forward. The current releases are too incomplete to begin balancing, and exist mostly to prove what we can do visually.

Currently the first ship of the new Vaygr is very nearly complete, and should be out before long. Behind that is our first fighter, the Higaaran interceptor. Past that, we have a growing backlog of concept art to fuel our ship building engine. The current plans are to do a carrier and harvester after the interceptor.

The scope of this project is considerable, and our team is essentially two at the moment. As such, we're quite open to anyone interested in contributing. A list of our most desired positions follows
ROSTER OF OPEN POSITIONS:
*Somebody who knows how to make working Homeworld 2 animations
*Somebody with mission editor experience. Making NIS go is a priority.
*Hundreds of modelers and texturers. We have a few texture touchup projects, and we have a large number of concepts that could be modeled. Literally, almost any number of texturers or modelers could be used.
*Female voice actors (voice actresses?)
