The goal of this mod is to bring back the units from the original Homeworld into the Homeworld 2 engine, with high quality texture and polycount detail. The campaign and animatics from the original game will also be included.
Base + Stripe Colors
The Light Corvette is considered done.
Yeah!!
The heavy corvette really is one of my all time favorite ships, and seeing this makes me proud of all the hours i spend working on this mod :D
This pic also gave me an idea for their team colors :p
Those textures make them look so lively.

Dear god that is lovely.
What application(s) do you use to make these fantastic textures? I've had a hard time figuring out what I can use on Macintosh to mod for HW2, since my Mac (I do have a Windows PC, but it's too new to play HW2 on... somehow) is able to run it natively. I'm very adept at working with Photoshop, but I haven't the slightest clue as to whether or not I can create the .hod format (is that a model + texture packaging system, as I would have guessed?) used by the game. I'd be happy to purchase whatever artistic or modelling software I need to do it, but "just buying/running windows xp, lol" is out of the question for my own reasons.
These textures were originally made by RELIC for HW1, i just resized them 4X and enchanted them in PSP (a lower cost photoshop clone).
Yes the .hod format is a model+texture packaging system, it uses dds image format(there is a plug in for it to photoshop)
"I do have a Windows PC, but it's too new to play HW2 on..." -I play/mod HW2 on win7X64 pc.
You have more HW2 modding questions go to Forums.relicnews.com
ther's a lot of tut's and helpfull people there.
I can play HW2 fine on my win7 x64 system, too. Didn't even have to use compatibility mode or anything. Getting a "driver out of date" notice on startup and had to force a few settings in my nVidia control center, but it plays fluently and looks nice and shiny now.
