This mod section is reserved for archiving mods for Homeworld and Homeworld Cataclysm. For the moment, Jst-Online has those mods hosted on the site, but if the site goes down, this mod section will be reserved as a backup. Unlike the Jst-Online however, this section contain 2 mods that doesnt exist there, 1 being a mod that once existed there, and 1 i made back in 2003.

This Mod page is for preserving Homeworld and Homeworld Cataclysm mods that lost their orginal website or download link. If you have a mod that doesnt exist here, or elsewhere, please do contact me and give me the mod so i can upload it here so we can preserve it.
Each mod has its rich history, and we sall all preserve them the best we can.
I would recommend that you download the hw and hwc mods from the JST-Online website. if something goes wrong, this mod page is here for archival purpose.
If you have trouble running Homeworld 1 on Windows 7, 8 or 10, you can download the HomeworldSPL patch here (Gearbox Software have shut down their forums. Check the download section for the patch) Forums.gearboxsoftware.com its an incredible life safer and it makes the game alot more playable on modern systems, and supports widescreen and higher resolutions (And gives you the ability to not only capture, but build Turanic Raiders and Kadesh ships when you capture their motherships).
I will also do my best to find mods wiht working download links and post them here on this mod page.

It would help alot if you spread the word about this ModDb page. The mods that was made by the tallented people in the past needs to be remembered, not forgotten. Remember, mods made Homeworld even more incredible game than it was before, and it is still alive thanks to that.

To my sadness, Jst Online is gone once more. I dont know if this is a permament or temporarly, but this means that downloading Homeworld 1 and Cataclysm mods are now alot harder. This is the reason why i created this Archive section.
I wasnt expecting jst online to disapear again, so some mods i wanted to add, enver got added, such as The Duck mod for Homeworld 1. Now i probably never be able to get it again, unless i find it somehow in a backup folder or something. I have a vague memory that i got it somewhere but, if you have it, you can upload it to your favorite storage site and send it to me (and any mods that i missed) so that we can archive the mods here.
It could also simply be a hiccup on the domain but im not very sure about it. Whatever the case, i will continue to support this modding archive as long as i can.
I will also change the description acordingly to Jst Online's status, or if another website takes it place.
Thanks everyone for sticking around and i hope that be able to find all mods that once was lost.

How to use the Splendor mod if I have the Steam version of HWC via the HW Remastered launcher
You sould be able to simply extract the patch into where the HWC is and run it from there (using its own exe file). I havent tested it myself tho.
Just a bit curious，may I ask when was the oldest HW mod releasing？
If i understand your question right. Its a good question to be honest, as i wasnt very aware of modding when those where around. The earliest i can recall must have been early 2000s, i think anyways.
Hello this may sound like a noob question but how do i install mods for homeworld i got the 1.05 patch also, but how to go about it??
For Homeworld 1, you simply drop the files into the main game folder that is the same as the exe file.
For example, R1 and R2 folders and any other folder and files there sould be sent directly into Homeworld game folder. The game will automaticly accept the files and use them.

So I just happened to stumble across this page tonight.
I was one of the devs on the Macross DYRL HW1 project (and then on a similar, but unfinished HW2 project). The version uploaded here (v1.3) was the last full release, but not quite the final one. There was one more patch, bringing the mod up to v1.35. I have already taken the liberty of uploading the patch for anybody who may be interested.
I was also the dev of a couple other mods in here as well. Really quite amazing that not only has all this been tracked down, but that people are still interested in it, nearly 20 years on. :)
Very amazing to see one of the original devs commenting and even helping out on preserving history!
The patch will definitly be useful for those who needs it or wants to use it. personaly, all mods deserve to be preserved due to not only for their historical value, but also a person's personal history with it, may it be user or developer reasons.
