When the Beast infected a Turanic Attack Carrier, they tried to make it into a true warship and production ship and well they found a way to do it. The Beast has equipped their infected attack carriers with 14 assault frigate class mass driver cannons these give the attack carrier extra defense when it comes to dealing with fighters and corvettes.
Easy for the Beast only to use resources already inside to move them to the hull and form something.
The Beast infection probably also improved the cooling systems making it possible to run all those extra weapons without getting worse in anything else.
Also it's known that the Attack Carries build slowly, they should maybe still do it so that you could choose between different carrier to build.
By the way, these extra turrets should be like an upgrade you can build after getting your hands on a attack Carrier.

Still working on the invisble module the Beast's standard carrier is going to be the attack carrier but they will be able to build a normal carrier and the new turrets come standard with any Attack carrier you build but to activate the ion cannons you have to do a research.
You do know that the module itself is the infection and adds some stats?
The attack Carrier has like everone knows a slow construction bay, however it is a very good fleet supporter unlike other carriers.
