These videos were posted with no details but from what it looks like this is demonstrating a new mobile shield generator ship along with ship shields.
I see a whole bunch of new UI features ... this is great!
Oh I see it now. It's isn't a defense field frigate, it gives a separate shield system (Or something else) to whatever ships enter its field.
