As you may have found out, the FX mod comes with a preview single-player mission. It can be found under 'Tutorials'. It is rather challenging, so give it a whirl and share your opinions / strategies here.

Briefing
At Eden, a Hiigaran resourcing outpost located near the Great Wastelands, a lone carrier and her strikecraft escorts are to protect a field of resource tanks from a Turanic Raider fleet.

Notes / Tips
- Your carrier's engines are disabled.
- Turanic units have lv2 speed, so you can't outrun/outmanoeuvre them.
- If the Turanics manage to steal 2-3 RU containers you lose.
- Your collectors can only harvest the resource tanks previously moved by the Junkyard Dogs, or they will explode.
- Bombers & Minelayers are your best friends.
- Your resource tanks are guarded by a sphere of gun platforms. Keep strikecraft near them for coverage.

Wave #1 - 2 Bombers, 2-4 Interceptors
- Build 3-4 Gun Platforms and deploy them between your carrier and the dust clouds behind it.
- Build 3-4 Interceptors, afterwards max out bombers
- Build a Research Module
- After the platforms are completed, retire the Platform Module and build an Adv. Research Module
- Research: RU Collection Armor & Repair. After this just research anything you can.
- Build a Corvette Facility
- Move 2-3 RU collectors from right resource patch near your carrier.
- Keep strikecraft near carrier.

Wave #2 - 3 Junkyard Dogs, 2 Interceptors (every ~2-3 minutes)
- Previously deployed gun platforms / interceptors near carrier deal with Turanic escorts.
- Bombers wipe Turanic Junkyard Dogs
- Previously moved 2-3 RU collectors harvest (manual select) moved containers (cancel after docked or they try move containers from the field -> destroyed)
- Build 4 Gunships, 5 Minelayers, 3 Pulsars.

Wave #3 - 4-6 Bombers, 4-6 Interceptors (every ~2-3 minutes)
- Move your interceptors/gunships/all collectors from left resource patch towards the '270 angle. Soon a crew transport will exit there.
- Have all collectors from left resource patch heal transport
- Interceptors / Gunships: Guard transport
- Bombers keep wiping Junkyard Dogs and collectors keep retrieving moved containers
- Move your minelayers into the dustcloud behind your carrier, mine near the Turanic carrier (not too near)
- At 25% it will hyperspace out, and you can focus on one thing at a time.

Wave #4 - 2 Sensor Distortion Probes
- Send bombers towards the mid-left and mid-right parts of map.
- When identified, move bombers towards the dots and kill the sensor distortion probes.
- If you fail to do so within 1:30 mins, you will receive no backup.
- Have Minelayers mine several large 'screens' near mid of map (direction your carrier is facing).
- Be sure to re-issue this order over time; mines disappear after a while.

Wave #5 - 2 Turanic Heavy Gun Cruisers
-
Dock your strikecraft/RU collectors at the crew transport after the message that they contacted the defence fleet. If you move them after it has hyperspaced out the raiders will destroy them before they can dock.
- Mine screens will badly damage 1 cruiser, a single bomber sweep will finish it.
- Try to attack from below to avoid its PDS.
- For 2nd cruiser, blast engines -> cruiser before it gets in range. Keep mining.
- 2-3 collectors near carrier should repair the carrier.

Wave #6 - Turanic Attack Carrier
- Bombers blast engines > corvette facility > carrier
- Pulsars go after Missile Corvettes when launched.
- Boom.

Wave #7 (Optional) - 6 Turanic Ion Array Frigates
- If you failed to destroy the sensor distortion probes in time, you will have 6 ion array frigates to deal with.
- If you succeeded, you will not.
