This is a mod set in the EVE Online universe, enabling players to command fleets of ships from the game EVE Online, through the Homeworld 2 Engine.
What the Mod Will offer:
* A strategy game very much like that of homeworld 2, only based in the EVE Online universe using EVE Online ships, in the Homeworld 2 engine.
* (hopefully) 2 single-player campaigns set in the timeline of the Amarr Reclamation (The Amarr-Minmatar War) and the civil war between the Caldari State and the Gallente Federation.
* 4 Player Races - The Amarr Empire (religous zealots who believe it is their God-given right to enslave others in order to bring God's message to the galaxy), The Caldari State (A mega-capitalistic nation ruled by corporations), The Minmatar Republic (A republic formed by the tribal cultured, primitive appearing Minmatar after winning freedom from their Amarr enslavers.) and the Gallente Federation, the only democratic nation in EVE, with strong beliefs in freedom. (It should be noted that all races in EVE are of human origin)
* A skirmish mode
* A large range of ships from the EVE online universe.

Great work Guys, Hope you finish the mod I Love EVE. Keep it up.
This is great, i was talking to a friend of mine who plays EVE as well, I said wouldnt it be great if some one were to make an EVE mod for HW2, and here it is. I wish you the best of luck and look forward to the public releases.
Would I start it if I wasn't planning on finishing it? The team already has made some fair progress. I'm sorry but thats a rather stupid thing to say, nobody would start something they didn't plan on finishing, even if circumstances cause them not to.
Alright, I'm not trying to sound overly synical about it, but if you don't plan on finishing this mod, please stop now. Don't get peoples hopes up. Beautiful concept though...hopefully it doesn't remain a concept...
