Many additions to the game, new units, new features and better graphical aspect, but the more important improvements have been done on stability, gameplay and performance.
Every duplicate ship/subsystem have been removed, redundant functions cleaned, lagging scripts revisited, a lot of bugs fixed.

The game has been balanced to reach the better space battle experience.
I hope you enjoy all this work!

About the future of Complex, considering that Gearbox is working on the new Homeworld, this release is the last one for Homeworld 2, not the last one for Complex. 
If the new engine will be great the new Complex will be on the way.

Great mod. Love it play it everyday when I have some time, though i haven't seen any updates concerning Complex 9, Is that still a thing or you are guys focusing on incremental updates (8.4.2->8.4.3->8.4.5 etc) ?
Really curious about what could come next :) .

guys i have little problem - my ships does not autoattack unless they are attacked or i gave them orders personally... even if they are set to aggresive. Sometimes when battle was ending and there was only 2-3 enemy frigates my ships just stop shooting and waiting. Is there any solution to that?

Hiigara still much more stronger then Vaygr. Disbalance in variety of ships: Hiigara have 3 types of shipyard instead of Vaygr's 1.
H. battlecruiser can easily destroy swarm of fighters with fast plasma cannons (or even sweepers), but V. missile battlecruiser's concussion rockets almost useless against small craft - missiles just flying around the fighter until self-distruct!
Shields... Most of H. support vessels can use shields (shuttles, field frigates, e.t.c.). At the end Shuttle even able to lunch nukes. Goddamn nukes! V. have only Guardian... yes, it can shot down almost every rocket, but c'mon! Shuttles travel like lightning!
Ofcourse you may say that V. can create unique ships, like Art. Frigate (this one is really good), Art. Cruiser (nice range, but zero-near DPS + useless if enemy have atleast one anti-missile ship), Missile Bombers (I have already talked about the incredible AA defense of H. capital ships)... What else? Dreadnought? I bet that one Vortex can handle with 2-3 Dreadnoughts.
Can anyone tell me how to use Flagship's Heavy Ion Cannon? It's very difficult to target this thing... Very narrow field of fire, i.e. no match with H. MS's Heavy IC.
Superstructures... Hiigara can summon Orbital Station (kinda useless, but still), Chimera, Battle Ark. And the Vaygr? ****** Command Station? Oh, please...
At last, Power Ups. Hiigara can "power up" sensors, repair rate, engines, damage... is short - all. You can power up all your stuff! Vaygr can't.
Please, do something with Vaygr, I beg of you. I like to play this race, because it gives some challenge and it's my favorite, though. But it would be nice if it's tactical potential was as wide as Hiigara have.

Oh, yes, Hiigarian Juggernauts... it's too much, really. Furthermore, every goddamn lightning-speed-travel support vessel can dock and deploy these monsters on the field! Have mercy, please!

running the latest mod, on an intel i7 with 16 Gig of DDr 3 1600 ram and SLI Evga GTX 550 Ti cards,win 7 ultimate x64, it happened again just now, the game just stopped...Where as the Original HW2 had an auto save to resume, the mod doesn't, so you can begin all over again...quite frustrating isn't it rofl.
As I Always play 5 cpu against me all high settings (max units) the game becomes veeery slooow which only improves after killing 2 or 3 enemys....another point to improve is, when your crew unit is being destroyed and you achieved the rank of fleet admiral, it takes ages before you can even build 1 collector...after rebuilding the unit and all ranks and crew & officer cabins its takes about 5 rounds before you can build your first collector again. Strangely, when I destroy a bogey crew unit the building goes on as if nothing happened...bit strange eh..
Futhermore the separate battle unit research is over the hill as far as I am concerned...you need loong games to accomplish this research.
Finally a very nice mod with nice units, I must confess I never use many of them as my aim is to get 7 battleships and a light shuttle as soon as possible, so I can commence destroying my bogeys 1 by 1.
I have still good memories of the time when we played Hw 2 online with teamspeak...lot to do in those days :)
