Many additions to the game, new units, new features and better graphical aspect, but the more important improvements have been done on stability, gameplay and performance.
Every duplicate ship/subsystem have been removed, redundant functions cleaned, lagging scripts revisited, a lot of bugs fixed.

The game has been balanced to reach the better space battle experience.

About the future of Complex, considering that Gearbox is working on the new Homeworld, this release is the last one for Homeworld 2, not the last one for Complex.
If the new engine will be great the new Complex will be on the way.

here's a question, are other races going to be playable in the foreseeable future? I noticed you can do that in Complex Simple (Simplex) but that one's nowhere near as stable as this version as complex, at least not according to my computer. would that be because of the extra races and the many different ship types? And if not, i'm not asking that this project be rushed, only if this Complex will get races like the progenotirs and Kadeshi. those are my two favorites from Simplex, I just hated that you could be some races on some maps but not others.

took me a while too, but i figured out it's good to have scavengers, mobile refineries, and trade convoys (when you have an allied player) early on so that you can generate RUs with trade and fusion. you're also going to want to manage your powerstation's magnets, that's a big one, and any time its damage gets too low, DOCK IT! it still gives out power, but the overcharge is gone, and lastly, crewmembers, every time you go up in rank you can add barracks for officers and crewmembers, do it. on how to manage your resources? that's macro/micromanaging. i'm still learning how to do that and my best advise for you is to keep playing the game and figure out what works best for you.

As for upgrades, don't try to do everything at once, it's a lot like supreme commander where you have practically an unlimited supply of resources avbailable in the game, but if you try to do too much too fast, you'll grind your production and research to a crawl. and that's the perfect time for the enemies to strike, when your production is just crap. do little bits, build up your fleet out of what you can, and work your way up slowly from there.

There's a sort of tutorial at the top of the screen if it's enabled, otherwise my tip is to install rapid sweepers early to counter fighters and corvettes and use point defence turrets to fend off bigger ships like destroyers.

I'm a long fan of homeworld 2 but for strange reasons it is one of the few games i never modded ( TBH i dont even know why) and i just discovered you mod, It looks absolutly insane!

However looking at your work i have a small question/ request to the mod team. You expanded the homeworld 2 universe a lot and i was wondering if you guys could have a look to Starpoint Gemini 2. Adding your content into a space sim with your ships would be quite awesome. The game is in alpha at the moment but the mod editor do exist and im sure it wouldnt cause any trouble to your team.

I love your work and it would be awesome to command one of your ships against the Vanilla content of the game and all the other mod currently in progress; star wars, star trek, i think battlestar galatic is being looked upon, you guys would represent the homeworld nation (as would i)!

This is just an idea, homeworld 2 was a fantastic game and you guys took it way further! Would be awesome to enjoy all that work with diferent game experience. If you like that idea well you have the opportunity right there :)

Hello, very long time fan of this mod, been playing for almost 6 years now! Back then I was playing on a radeon9200 no less. I've gotten numerous upgrades throughout the years, however one thing worries me. For every major release the performance has gone down for the game. For the last 2 major releases the audio player is still not entirely functional and creates a booming sound when stopping tracks

I tested out a very tactical setting game with 6p, and managed to get it all down to just me and a vagyr computer player on expert. The performance worsened as the game went on and only barely improved once there was only 2 players on the map. I Implore you to ask your community to test this function deeply and communicate with them on it. I read the statement below that its based on population contributing to script slowdown, however I feel there is more under the hood that needs adjusting.

Worked a lot on performance, I really think that we have improve the code at max and the H2 engine can't do more.
