Classics Multi-Player Mod:
CMM v 3
What I want to accomplish with my mod:
My goal basically is to improve Homeworld2 by adding custom and singleplayer content while still keeping the game's look, feel, and balance. CMM is more like an expansion pack than a "Total Conversion", as it expands every aspect of Homeworld2 with out losing its origonal feel. I've worked to make the game a little faster paced by adding the Keeper/Progenitor race to add a whole new dimension to the Multiplayer. I'm also adding new ships wich I make sure are balanced so that they don't ruin the gameplay, and remain fun to use.
Added in Beta:
I've made the Keeper a playable race and reprogrammed the AI to get it to work correctly. The Keeper builds all the different types of ships and attack and defend just as the other two races. Also this is very WIP, expect to see more such as the Dreadnaught added in and the other two stock races getting a lot more ships. I have also sped up the pace of the game; expect a higher intensity death match next time you play Homeworld 2! However, I?ve kept true to the Homeworld 2 feel and it will only take very little time to adjust to my mod.
Added with version 1:
I created a missle cruiser that looks very impressive in combat and is very well balanced into the game, and I fixed the ballance issues with the Keeper Mover and the Atack Droid. They are much more balanced and when used correctly, effective.
Added with version 2:
I added in 2 new ships for both of the stock races. For the Vagar I created a Swarmer for them and a Sniper corvette that can chew away at capital ships from a great range, and for the Higgy I created a standoff bomber which will also damage capital ships from range and I also added in a Multigun corvette that is very efective aginst fighters.
Added with version 3:
In CMMv3 the first thing you'll notice is that I reskinned the UI, and improved almost every aspect of the Homeworld 2 game. Alon with death mach you can now play Classic Battle wich will alow you to select alternate starting fleets along with other cool options. I redid the Missle Cruiser by adding Battlecruiser class ion turrets to it and taking away the missles. The Cruiser is now only bested by the Battlecruiser class ships. Both the Higgy Ion Frigate and the Vagar Heavy Missle Frigate now have big brothers who add a boost to the amount of damage a frigate can do. I also added custom icons for all the ships I have added to the Homeworld 2 game.
CMM v 3.2 has been released. Mostly its an update for the Keeper AI. They now have a tech tree and build everything from AttackDroids to Dreadnaughts. The super ships such as the Dreadnaught and Heavydestroyer take a long time to build though so you'll need to get numbers up on them.
