Home Sweet Home mod for Half-Life

Anyway, now that I've given you a dense and corny introduction, here's what the mod is about: Basically, new weapons and monsters have been coded into the mod and is available for use. Statistically speaking, there are currently more than 7 new monsters and more than 10 new weapons already in the mod. Take a look at the screenies to get a better idea of the new content.

You may have noticed that the maps look ugly, like there's only one or two textures in the entire map. And this is where the talent of moddb users come in: I'd like some mappers to take advantage of the new content and make us all some maps for use in this mod. If you're interested just step into the portal and we can discuss your contributions and all that. Just remember, the future of every new mod starts with PLAYERS LIKE YOU! Thank you.

Anticipated FAQ:

Q: Where's the story?
A: There isn't one yet. I am planning to frame a story around the maps that may be contributed to the mod. If you are going to make maps, I highly encourage using scripted sequences because that's what makes singleplayer mods awesome.

Q: I have an idea/suggestion: (something random)
A: Depending on your suggestion you will get 1 of 3 types of answers: "Thanks, I'll think about it" or "I don't think that's a good idea because (a reason will be given)" or "I can't do that because (a reason will be given)"

Q: Where's the download?
A: There isn't one. (Moddb has a very simple interface yet ppl still don't understand it for some reason)

Q: WHY U NO HD? OMG LD SUX0r
A: When I was your age, everything was LD. There are plenty of other HD mods. Feel free to move on to the next mod.

Q: Make this for source plz
A: I don't have source. And the tools keep getting broken.

Q: Will this work for half life: source?
A: It won't.

Q: Will this work for WON?
A: I think so.

Q: Hey, why is my model/file/stuff in your mod? I don't want it in your mod!
A: The mod isn't released yet, but I will comply with your intellectual property rights.

*Note that most of the weapons are hidden. Of course we don't want to spoil you all the weapons. BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, we NEED MAPPERS. Please help this mod become a reality by joining the mapping effort! These weapons will make your maps much better than the typical vanilla mod. Thank you.

*Want to unlock more weapons? I was gonna do a watcher thing, but that's kinda dumb. Instead, unlocks will be based on how far along mod progress is. YAY!
