Well i donno about old scifi feeling - its more todaylike scifi - there is no dusty, dirty film effect but it is very atmospheric and moody - theres very strong depth feeling. you have your hud, front glass, you have your weapon then you have your close radius light then you have the environment itself, and then foggy darkness more far :) - so as you can see, several layers, or levels of depth :)

Sounds fairly like the classic sci-fi b-movie.

But it would be an interesting mod (if I'm reading this right.) if everything is in grayscale.

Tnx for the support and for help offers!!!

But courently i would only need some coding help. I do have a coder but he is new with u engine and it takes him abit more time to work. He does great job but the progress is VERY slow.

Much of the content have changed and got more detailed. we got new hud with the details painted on it, so it has slight bob and its cool :)

Level design got even more fun and more optimized.

Charecters is somehting that guess i wont see this year ;) we are still at the basic gameplay elements, not even Our game special stuff but just basic stuff, like hud, ammo etc...

If i receive any gameplay updates soon, i will create mutlyple paths for the demo - so you will be able to end the level in different places and move to different levels from there - for the demo i guess itll be just 2 variations :)

But again, its all very slow with code. One thing i can guess is that if there ever be full game it will not be on the ut2k4 engine since as i heared, theres no support for savegame. Unless i work in OLD SKOOL style - you will start each map with new inventory and loose in in the end, so that way i can just unlock maps if the player reached some level :) like old games :D

I like the idea I might just buy Unreal toartament just for this mod.

Don't listen to them. I think its a great idea, and as of how it looks, it will be something to look forward to. In a month I will be getting a new computer so I can start using UnrealEd without the computer slowing down, messing up, or freezing. If you want, I can help you out on mapping? I'm really interested in this mod.

I dont understand - if you hate it so much then why you bother posting here any comments.

- the alpha was released because for more then half year i couldn't find a coder, so i desided to show something to enpspire people a litle bit, and i have received several good comments from peopel who work on game companies.

It allso been mod of the week on mod n mod when it was not even released.

The spelling errors - i must apolgize but english is my third language, i had no time to fix all the errors.

Allso it is very hard to work on a mod by yourself, every bit of the content you saw in this alpha 1.0 starting with textures and ending with coding where made by me alone after work and on free time from other 3 projects - 2 mods and one experimental, hopefully retail project. Now i know it's not an excuse, thats why i work hard on fixing the errors, and finally foudn a coder who does very fine job. We already have the game code layed out more proffecionaly and i should receive HUD code very soon. which will allow us to move to the AI and stuff.

Btw the models are skinned and it's tested, you probably didnt bother extracting everything to its propper place or didnt run it trough the SFRUN.BAT file - its been tested and all files are in their places. About maps - there are 2 maps, not fully finished but quite playble and functional.

I received meny coments from people that said that the black and white coloring and the lack of monsters did not disturb them and even on oposite added to the mood, and meny of them couldnt complete the maps cause they where quite scary. I guess its bad thing if its so scary even withought monsters. :)

That's another thing. wtf would you bother releasing it with 2 unskinned player models and a (hopefully) work-in-progress map? Now everyone knows how much it sucks. You could've at least kept it secret until you've added some sort of, you know, gameplay.

Perhaps he's foreign?

Why does everyone have to point out every single grammatical or spelling related error anyone ever makes?

And the demo maps are pretty damned atmospheric. Even with the knowledge that there were no enimies, I couldn't walk through the whole thing...
