The HLP series takes place in an alternate,"Parallel" world broken off HL2. In the alternate history, Gordon Freeman died while trying to save Eli Vance from Nova Prospekt, in the process both he and Vance were killed. These events left the rebels behind to begin the revolution on their own.
In HLP you play as Adam V. Zamora - One of the few surviving commanders of The 7 Hour war, you rise from a strange coma, in which a strange man spoke to you, about some sort of job, and there not being a choice. You then woke up, nearly left behind, but awakening just in the nick of time, to leave the city, through the canals...

Well, December went by fast, we had success and failure over here at HLP, and now are steadily moving towards out goals and we are doing so swiftly. first, we are setting a release date, next fall, thats as accurate as I am going to say. Second, media, no media this time, we have been working on a lot of stuff that doesn't have much to show, as well as the fact we have a lot of dev textures showing in levels at the moment, but the preveiw image, if you can see it, shows some expert work from out level designer Ben. I think thats all I have to say, thanks for watching, and enjoying our mod.

Having worked with David Mason on the original music for Strider Mountain, I know he's a great addition to the team. I'm tracking HLP.
I loved it. The very end of the voice acting felt out of character. but Other wise 5/5!
At the end of the video, I just took a wave file of the acting and put it in, I know it didn't sound in par with the rest, it wasn't recorded in game, but I thought it wasn't a big deal, thanks for your input...
That was some of the best voice acting ever! It's better than HL2!
No it isn't
It was good, but a long shot from the HL2 voicing. What I miss is a more organic flow in the actual words, it sounds like he's snapping of the ends of the words because they're not comfortable :/
The character is well done though, cudos :D
I have seen this in actual game play, and its a lot more natural, also, these were lines from an early creation of the game, and are being redone. I plan on making the characters less of just"things that open doors and shoot" and more of actual characters, that can tell you about things of there own history and experiences if in the right situation, something VALVe didn't think of, but a lot of these types of setups will be more prevalent in episode two, episode one is more of a set up to the rest and more of an intro to the world that the rest of the "acts" of the mod take place in...

Hey in the story, I like the alternate reality, perhaps you shouldnt make it that Gordon died, but was taken back by the G-man. We all know that Gordon cant die lol!
