In order to make the review lasting, it was made an article of the Reviewers and Critics group. You can find it here: http://www.moddb.com/groups/reviewers-and-critics-group/news/hlfx-lost-in-black-mesa-review
that review sucks
Hey XaeroX, when's HLFX: Single coming out? Or is it coming out at all?
I can't wait to play my favorite game with such great graphics as seen in this mod!
Oh whoops. Nevermind #1, I found it. Sorry about that :B
Hi, I found this mod to be extremely great in graphics. But I have 2 questions.
1: Where can I find the opengl32.dll at? It doesnt appear in my folders anywhere.
and 2: Could it be possible to enlarge the warning about the modified opengl32.dll? Some people might miss it.
Thanks in advance
Now thats a review but i would give it 8/10 :|
Well it is a review, you see that correctly. I've tested it myself, and I gave my own opinion here. Please, tell me exactly why you believe that my review isn't what you'd imagine, and don't just tell me what rating you'd give the mod. You're not explaining your point of view.
The problem is that I think you only betatested it with team members. You need to grab some random faces out of the community, otherwise you can't adjust to the general gamers. I also understand that you are short on resources, such as a full team, but the way you solved it is possibly the worst. I love Deus Ex, and it felt weird and out-of-place to see them in Half-Life, if you get what I mean.
Playtesting is important, because it would have shed some light for you on why item and enemy placement wasn't the best. It was easy for you and your team members because you knew what was coming, all the time.
Anyway thanks for the review, we will take its points into account next time.
