1.Half Life2-Infiltration is based technically on the original game Half Life2 from valve. The modification continues the story of the Shooter and offers an alternative action strand. You can integrate Infiltration in the HL2-storyline but it does not start at a certain point in the known story. Because the Mod is designed by hobby-designers, it will be a free download and you will be able to load it at our page.

2.Story. Complete brain control in form of an implanted chip - a direful weapon for the Combine. Nearly all human beeings in City 10 are subject already either to complete control or succumbed to the consequences of the radiation. The radiation is a product of the reactors, those secure the constant functionality of the chips. The last rebels are in a situation almost offering no prospects. Absolute control and the stop of the "normal" social life let a complete city collapse to itself. The craving for power and the control craze of the Combine are now exclusively directed against the rebellion, while the remaining population sinks in chaos. Selected civilians serve thus against their own will the regime of the occupying force. To fight against the own people may be bitter, but what if even your closest familiar ones are used in order to kill you? Save your friends from the control of the Combine but plan you. They will not hesitate an instant to extinguish you!

3.What is new in HL2-Infiltration? The own story of the Mod leads the player through completely new provided locations. Own textures and environments provide a dark atmosphere. New weapons support the combat experience and the reunion of well-known characters let the Half-Life Feeling arise.

Hi,

you can download the new version 1.3.1 of Infiltration (english) now here:

Files.filefront.com

I fixed lots of (mapping-)bugs and increased the level of detail in some maps.
As there were so many bugs I had to fix, I did not create a patch file, because it would be as large as the complete mod file.

Have fun.

I forgot to mention in one of the cutscene things, Alyx is being escorted into prison by the combine, but she has a pistol in her hand still. I'm pretty sure that's not supposed to happen.

I was really hoping this mod would turn out grand. The screenshots sort of got my hopes up too much I suppose.
You get an 8 for the graphics, mainly because of the use of weather and that unique Max Payne comic style for narrating. However, like Tiparow said, there were a LOT of mapping errors. Many times I would bump into an invisible combine soldier with a shotgun shooting at me, and all I could do wish spray my smg wildly in circles. Also you could sometimes see where the map suddenly cuts off at doorways and the edges of the maps. You guys should consider putting a bit more debris around the area, it feels a bit empty.
Sound I gave was an 8. I really liked the use of custom soundtracks, and most of the music fit with the action going on, but aside from that, I don't think I heard any other things worth pointing out.
Gameplay got a 6, and I'm sorry to say, I had to cheat a lot. Not because I suck at playing Half-life 2, I was playing on hard throughout the mod. The reason why is because of the amount of glitches with the cutscenes. For example on that one level where you are teleported into a prison, when I regained control of Gordon, I couldn't move, couldn't see my weapon, my hud, switch weapons, or even move the camera. So I had to use the "map" command in the console and restart that area. Also you need to put the combine into squads, many times I would kill a combine soldier right next to another combine soldier with his back turned, and he would oh-so-cleverly do nothing. It could just be me, but I felt that the beginning levels were the hardest. Though, not all was lost, cutscenes felt nice, though for some people they may have felt it "took control away" from the player. The rooftop fights were fun, not many mods take advantage of the height factor in battles. The chase scene with the dune buggy was also great, though I thought it could've been a bit longer. On a few lighter notes, why are zombies roaming around the city streets? It may have been better to put a few headcrab pods around or something. The "secret weapon" should have been something else, especially since the crossbow seems more like an improvised sniper weapon. And a few other minor nuisances throughout the game.
Overall, I think you should play this mod if you are REALLY bored. I mean, I thought I was bored but after getting through about 7/8 of the game, I got too frustrated to continue. A "C" grade from me.
However being this your first mod (I think) this shouldn't get you down, continue with your work and keep doing those great cutscenes, my favorite was the begnning, it made it feel very professional.

Yea there was A LOT of mapping errors.. That makes me sad :( In some parts of the mod there were "false walls" where enemies could see you and shoot you through it. :(
In fact, the mod looked pretty good except for this mapping errors.. I really liked the comic style, but all the errors made me get really disapointed.. As Marnamai said, you should have worked much more in your mod before releasing it.. Well i hope there will be paths that correct that errors :/

I am truly disappointed in this mod, I think I had my hopes up too high for this mod.
The only thing I liked so far was the "comics" and the "swat-style" intro vid, but the mapping and gameplpay are quite bland and boring in most area's.
Dimensions are way off scale wich makes it hard to move around in some places.

I 've lost count with the mapping errors: leaks, playable area's not sealed off, scenes not triggering, locked doors, enemies seem to be trowed in the level without any tought ... and so on.

Your guys pushed it out way too fast, you should have considered beta-/playing testing your mod.
I am sure if you guys would have taken an extra 2 months to finalize and squeeze out the errors that this mod would have been way more enjoyable.

Hey guys, just played through, gunna write a little mini-review.

First, I'd like to say, the mod team did a great job with this mod. It feels very proffessional, and it's very fun. The levels are done extremely effectively, and are beautiful and fun to play.

However, it's not without it's flaws. While there's nothing big that can be said bad about this mod, there's a fair ammount of little things that could have used some polishing. Mainly cosmetic issues, for instance one area you can go on a ladder and on a roof, but if you turn around, you look into vast nothingness, as I guess the mapper forgot to add that area. Another issue I had was the doors in one area not opening, and I had to noclip through. Perhaps I missed something, but I spent a fair ammount of time searching, and the doors did have doorhandles. Perhaps it was a bug? Another thing that the mod could have used was Autosaves. The last issue worth writing about is that the english version had some german text, mainly level names (I think, the text all used that font and area), as well as the guns not having names (#HL2_SMG is a put off).

Don't let those negative things push you away from the mod though. Small cosmetic issues asside, this mod was great! A very fun, entertaining, visually appealing mod, which best attribute is the very well done level design, both visually and gameplay wise.

8/10 is my rating! If it wern't for all the little cosmetic issues, it would deffinately be a 9/10.

As for the creators of the mod, good work, and I don't mean the negative things to insult you, but rather to show you where to improve upon. Good luck in the future!
