Another reality another outcome.....

Shephard is currently stationed in Santiago military base - Arizona there you're part of an special elite force called H.E.C.U - the Hazardous Environment Combat Unit. Of course you're very proud to be part of such a highly decorated military unit. The training was certainly hard but Shephard and that is you never gave up. At the moment our hero is heading over to the firing range for some training as suddenly all alarms sirenes started howling all over the place. Something is up and it's something big. Your entire battalion has been ordered away to a top secret facility only known to public as Black Mesa which is somewhere located in new mexico.

And here it begins. Witness a catastrophe of unknown magnitude as you get deeper in side the facility. Your mission is simple evacuate and resuce as many survivors as you can find out what really went wrong.

Are you good enough to be a real soldier? Can you reveal the truth about the events that occurred in Black Mesa or will you fail bitterly die trying? Find out when the mod gets released.

Well folks the long wait has finally payed out... Today - my first mod ever to be constructed for Hl1 has been released and seen daylight.

I'll make this post here brief as I've created a separate mod page for the mod which still awaits authorization.

Anyway for those of you who wanna get it...

Military Duty

Note: It has come to my attention that this mod is not compatible with the old WON version of Half-Life. Please play it only on Steam Half-Life. If you do play it on WON expect game crashes- missing music and other glitches. Old WON simply can't handle the code enhancements Valve made over the years for the Hl1 Steam version games and I build my mod with these enhancements enabled so I wasn't taking the limitations of WON into consideration.

The mod still has few minor glitches left but nothing serious so don't worry the mod is fully playable.Still at some point I will release a patch for it.

Anyway I wish each one of you lots of fun and do hope that I will get vast feedback in return from you folks. Be it positive or negative as long as it is constructive criticism. :) I estimate a playtime around 1 to 2 hours. Also I recommend playing it on hard as easy is to easy. And please read the readme. Good luck on your mission Soldiers. :)

@carloscarlin: Both of my mapper friends are also low on time like I used to be and I haven't even seen Thanos in 1 year. So I assume that he has a lot of things to do in college.

That means this is at the moment more or less a 1 man project by me. However Neclipse is still helping me sometimes and my awesome skinner M82sniper also returned doing some stuff for me.

Carloscalin: I'm currently implementing maps.. But it's giving me real headache. Because the mapchanges aren't working properly. Sometimes the player is spawning in walls etc.

So far I was unable to fix those bugs in my latest maps. Besides that issue everything is working fine and progress is coming along but slower than in the last months because my RL job is really time consuming.

Soon I will post some news.

Nope it wont work with the original models...

That's because we have new skins included within the models. I'm also using the gaming models from mods like Decay which came with different Animations than those of Op4 or Hl1.

As for the developement. I've just finished more or less another map 2 days ago. Right now I'm trying to include it into my mapcylce. So far I have 10 maps that are playable in chronolocical order. And 35 maps at all which are started or also finished except the fact that they are no included yet into the cycle.

That's because I still need to find a good place for the maps wihin my mod chapters.
