Hexen II - Shadows of Chaos is a mod/mini mission pack for Hexen 2, melding elements of heretic and hexen 1 into the newer title. Based on a heavily modified version of the excellent game of tomes mod, it features revamped classes, alternate fires based on your player level, new maps and enemies, and much more brutal gore to bring it closer to hexen 1 in tone. Experience Hexen 2 with new twists, puzzles, and full coop support on large maps thanks to spike's addition of BSP2 support
An .FGD file for SoC that's aimed at J.A.C.K. users (includes Studiomodel and Iconsprite defs) plus better compilers than the standard ones J.A.C.K. comes with and a copy of Wally, for making .wad files.
This .zip contain a few files to help my fellow J.A.C.K. builders make awesome maps for Shadows of Chaos. Remember, you'll need at least JACK v1.1 to make Hexen II maps!
Hexen2JACK.fgd - An altered version of the hexen2.fgd released by bloodshot in his SDK, that's more JACK friendly. Model defs are re-written in a format JACK understands(so the models appear in the editor) plus I added Iconsprite defs for the light and sound entities.
Ericw's compilers for Windows in both 32 bit and 64 bit flavors - These compilers are MUCH better than the standard Hexen II compilers JACK comes with as they will allow you to compile large SoC - style maps.
Wally 155b - A very handy tool for making .wad files to use for your maps.
I've also included a readme file which contains more info plus a few brief tips at the end for getting your SoC maps to compile properly in JACK and how to setup the Hexen II palette in Wally.
I didn't make the compilers or Wally(obviously...) and I certainly don't claim to be an expert mapper, I'm just a fan of SoC.
