Are you tired of completely unconnected multiplayer games? Do you want teamplay? Do you want to participate in some of the largest battles of ww2? Heroes of Stalingrad: Frontlines aims to do just that. Players will join authentic Allied or Axis companies, choosing one of several special roles. Lead the front, with armoured units, defend as an infantryman or lead up to 128 players as the company's Captain. Features: - Full multiplayer campaign - New equipment and vehicles - historically accurate companies and units - close combat system - morale - Air support. The mod is currently in partial progress until May 2011, when the mod team will be fully ready.

Haven't heard about this before. Also you might want to put the mod on the RO 2 forums, most of the fanbase converges there.
I did so, but there was no interest. Things will start moving in June.
This wont be a push on the engine: there will be a parallel server system to control fighting over the servers.
The mod aims to add in plenty of interesting and hopefully fun features to add to the gameplay including placeable defences and companies based on ww2 structure. There will be more information in a few months when IB finishes...
Is this even do-able? 128 players? Seems a lot for UE3.5, but it would be fantastic.
