For your Heroes 7 P3E2, I'm stuck on trying to get past the part where I'm supposed to regroup at the cafe. When I reach there, nothing happens except for that one car passes by. If I try to leave, it says I didn't follow orders. If I exit through the cafe side window, I'm able to get on the car where it takes me up to the crash site, however I'm unable to pick up the bodies. Please help!!

Hi. Thanks for your post.

Please revert back to an earlier save. And once you get to the cafe, walk through the door, not the window and keep going through it. Stay with your ally teammates and wait for the conversation to end. Then after the objective indicator shows up, walk to the vehicle and you'll automatically get in.

If you have any other questions, let me know.

I did post a walkthrough, you may watch it to know where to go.

Thanks.

Hi Fisher,
So I followed what you said, and I looked at the walkthrough. I might've figured out what went wrong. You see, in your video, after retreivng the intel, there is this rogue agent I'm supposed to chase. In mine, there is no agent. That might be why the dialogue doesn't load when I'm playing. I have installed everthing, so I don't know what the problem is.

Also, I play on mac, if that helps at all.

Hi.
Ah I think I know what the issue is. Yes, there was an agent you were supposed to chase. I think it's a developer error, so it's my side. I think I forgot to extend the trigger to cover both sides of the stairs. So Please take the stairs down closer to the door, like the one shown in the video. Sorry about this. I did not account for the other side of the stairs. So just play according to the video.

Sorry about this. I noticed before this is an issue but didn't fix. I don't have the latest version of the map anymore since my computer was reformatted so I lost that map. Every other maps are fine. It's funny. That map was the main one, first map I started out for part 3.

Please try again. Thanks.

Hi Fisher,
Thanks. Now I've pretty much played all of your 5 parts to the story. I must admit it's a really good mod. Voices aren't good, however I can understand because how there are so many characters and very little crew. Keep up the good work!

Thanks!

Yes, I don't have actual voice actors. All I have are just regular people. lol What you hear is regular people trying to sound professional. We did the best we can with that.

Thanks! Look forward to episode 6! It's still in development and may take a while to complete. There's so much stuff to do. Though 25% of the map is ready. :)

Oh yeah one more thing. Do you know how to install weapon skins for Mac? I have the Blue Wave Skin Pack on ModDB for this other mod also on ModDB. I followed the instructions by creating an images folder inside the mod's folder than added all the .iwi files, but when I launch it it crashes. However, another skin for only the M1911 worked (it was a .iwd file). Do you think you could help me? Thanks

Hi.

As for Mac, I am not sure. I never used a Mac. I am sure it's the same as Windows.

As for the custom skins, what you can do is, you need to run a modcompiler. It's a .bat file to build mods. What you did is the first part. Put images in the folder. You need the bat file. I am sure I included the .bat files. I have a modeler/modder that helps with this, I'll get him to help you out. And I do have custom models which include images, so I am sure it works the same way. As for .iwd files, I am not sure sure. You may have to extract the contents. Again, I am not sure, I don't deal with modding. I only map/script. :P
NOTE: The .bat file is only for my mod. As for other mods, I can't help you with that. Though I am sure the coding for the .bat file is the same but just different mod names.

I'll let my colleague get back to you. :P

BTW, I do give you permission to modify my mod but I hold no support over it. 1. I do not mod. 2. It's not my content. So use at your own risk. :) You can talk to him and see if he is glad to help you out.

pause I don't know much about mac. You should the blue wave skins .iwi files in a .iwd file. Then put that .iwd in your mod folder. You'll need a program like WinRAR. I don't know how to use bat files on mac. You can try this link. You'll need to create the bat file with a program like notepad or something. You'll also need 7za for mac.In that batfile add these lines:
del images.iwd
cd ..\mods\mod ( replace mod with the name of the mod folder )

7za a -r -tzip images.iwd images
pauseIt should work, Some of it might have to be different, because your using a mac.
If all that is to hard for you, you can always try using WinRAR to add files to the m1911.iwd. Just open it in WinRAR find the images folder, right click, press add files to archive then select the .iwi files for the blue wave skin pack. That's not the best way of doing it but it should work too.

Hi,
I can't actually use WinRAR because I can't buy it and the downloads only give you the command line so I can't really "open" the .iwd. Can it be opened through cmd line? Thanks

Apr 4 2014 Anchor

I don't think there is a way to compile iwds through command line. I believe it's only .rar and .zip for WinRAR. You could give me the blue skin files and I could make the .IWD and send it back to you.

HI,
Sure. Why don't u PM me. Thanks for the help!

Hi BigWigglyStyle,
I tried your .iwd file and it doesn't work. I tried creating an images folder and putting it in there, as well as outside of the images folder. I'm not sure what's the problem here. Maybe if the .iwd was a Unix Executable File? cuz yours was a document. Idk :P

Thanks!
