I was very glad to hear that East vs West will be released as a free beta since it will allow all previous players who have started following the mod when it was originally planned for Hearts of Iron 3 to enjoy it once again without having to pay extra cash for the new version which is being developed for East vs West.
Of course I encourage anyone who can contribute to East vs West to do so as it will not only make the base game better but obviously will help the mod improve with more features and stability. Right now I have started my uni studies for a Psychology major and while that will no doubt consume a large chunk of my time I do plan to devote a spare bit of time just for the development of the mod.
Currently the plan is to start working on the mod on June 2014. I know its 3 months away from release but it will provide me with the time I need and I believe the game should be properly patched by then which will make working on the mod a much simpler task without having to update it along with the patches every week/month.
All the events that have happened since the mod was released as a beta for HOI3 are planned to be part of the mod so it will cover the period of at least end 2014. This includes the Arab Spring with a special emphasis on the Libyan and Syrian civil wars. The events in Ukraine are not at an end but they have inspired me to put a new focus on this very strategically important country for both the EU, Nato and Russia.
I am very excited as we draw closer to the release of East vs West and cant wait to deliver to all of you the best Modern Warfare mod that I can.
