Heart of Evil: Napalm Edition (HOE: NE) is a remake of the old mod Heart of Evil, a Vietnam themed war/survival horror FPS. The HOE NE Team hopes to help you relive that experience, or for those of you who haven't played it, a chance to try something new. They put a lot of work into the original concept and we want to it endure, for that reason we have updated the mod as best we can with graphics and gameplay.

Well folks,

This is what a lot of you have been waiting for, we are aiming to release June 24, 2009. Thats the goal and I am warning you that it will be anytime between then and the end of June. Why you ask? Because my team has some of the most dedicated bug squishers looking for holes in the maps and other stuff that might get you stuck. In short, we are trying to make it as complete as possible.

In the meantime, enjoy Chapter Four of Darkworld, which can be found on our website.

What ever happened to Invasion redux? I like the mod but I cant stand playing it with such low def stuff, and I havent found anything high-def for it. BTW, great job guys... looking forward to it, I've been holding out playing it again for this.

I'm sure this has been answered before though, but arent a lot of bloom things in HL1 banned by VAC? It was the same thing with that Paranoid mod (or something, it was Russian) that came out last year.

Invasion Redux was cancelled, it was posted all over the place.

The bloom in the mod was coded in, not a dll like Paranoia.

Yeah we are aiming for the 24 of June, but it could be anytime after since thats the date we are releasing final builds to the test group, we are hoping that one of the final builds will be the release candidate.
