Basic outline for the mod. It is based on a game I have been playing. Might be familiar to some of you. --- The player is a magician with the ability to cast spells. He arrives in the world to fight evil. The world is run by 5 gods. The player can choose which god he wants to work for. This is important because each god has different creatures and spells to give to the magician. The player has an army of ally creatures that he commands. The main role of the player is to direct the creatures, while he stands back and helps as necessary. These creatures follow the player and then attack enemies within their attack radius. They can be ordered to go to a specific location or to attack a specific target. Some of the creatures have magical attacks or defenses. These magical creatures will drain energy from the magician to perform their magic. The enemies are the same 5 groups of creatures that the player uses. The gods are opposing each other. The battles are between the god the player chooses...

Howdy! Thought I would post this for those interested. In case you do not know, Happeh Fantasies is a mod for Serious Sam that will be fantasy based. Sorta like diablo or a game like that.

Work on Happeh Fantasies is mainly coding at the moment, little or low quality eye candy. There is a work log in the forums of the changes made so far. The HUD is now a bar across the bottom with areas for health, mana, money, various armor items, boots, gloves, helmet, armor, bracers, leggings, rings and amulets.

Health items can now be collected and used at the players time of choice instead of when it is picked up. Treasure Chest Item can now show an open and closed state. The model for the Treasure Chest can be changed to anything you like.

Introduced the concept of food. Food is seperate from health. The idea is that when you have food, you feel good so your max health is raised by 10 points. If you have no food, you can still fight, you just don't have that nice comfortable full feeling so you have your normal hit points.

There will also be an Emotional Health concept in the game. Something like if you have whupped 40 enemies in a row you are exhilarated so you get a bonus to speed and dexterity. If it is nighttime, or you are in a scary place, your emotions will make you cautious or even jumpy. So your max hitpoints and maybe moving speed and fighting dexterity will go down.
