Hal's English Retranslation is a mini-mod for Shadow of Chernobyl which expands and improves the in-game dialog/text.
This is a small special release for the 5th anniversary of HTO. Roughly 200 hours of work and proofreading went into writing these files. All of the in-game dialog, item descriptions, PDA logs, and much more have been rewritten to improve clarity. It is important to note however that I did not write anything which would contradict the game's original story line, I also refrained from adding unnecessary vulgarity or anything stupid to the dialog in the game which would ruin immersion. I took this project seriously, and if anything, the dialog in the game should now be considerably better and create an immersive and engaging experience for the player.
That's great, man!
It should be compatible with everything that doesn't alter the script, right?
Will try it out with vanilla, Complete, CSFM and AA2. I sure hope it is not HTO only.
I'm not sure what it's compatible with, I've never tried, but I feel like it would probably work with Complete and AA2. I can't run any of those mods on my old laptop but if somebody could test it out I'd be happy to give you credit on my main page if it works out.
You don't expect the strong and sexy men of the zone to swear?
There's still plenty in there.
I was just being funny, or trying to. Thanks for the mod!
Of course, Stalker
Looks interesting! Is it compatible with Memories of the Zone? Moddb.com
UPDATE: it is:D
Happy to hear it :)
