A Halo mod for the critically acclaimed Sins of a Solar Empire, that aims to capture the fast paced intensity of the Halo series.
A quick map overview showing a game with the Flood enabled. They have a 30 minutes wait timer, so they show up around 2:48 minutes in. It's all downhill from there though, as you'll notice a "snowball" effect take place. This is due to the fact that every planet the Flood captures spawns additional flood raids.
Also, strangely, the replay doesn't show me (the light blue UNSC) expanding at all. Unfortunate, but you can still see me holding my planet at the end by the skin of my teeth.

Similar thing happened to me when I was a little kid, my Mother mistakenly took me on Alien Encounter at Disney. I would sleep with a toy gun (like that would've helped lol)

Flood, Flood everywhere

This movie terrified me when I was younger, still one of the only ones that gets me.
I was expecting tea and crumpets, with a spot of opium and a chat about the previous game of cricket. I guess we'll have to civilise the Flood by any means necessary then until they truly appreciate civilisation!
I hope the flood can get Covie ships too.
In the video you can see some of them are Covie ships.

one of my friends refused to play this mod til another faction was added, maybe now i can convince him to play this with me and help defend against the flood. but i have a few questions.
why do the flood get a whole bunch of ships that just randomly jump to a specific planet from outside the system?
and are starbases able to be taken instantly by the flood like super MACs and other defenses?
i am guessing mines are still the best way to go
I agree with this person. The flood should get starting ships - But shouldn't be reinforced by some mysterious place. Perhaps give each flood ship the ability to infect another ship every 5 minutes or so?
the flood infect ships faster than that. Also, the fleets you see jumping in are ships that create the "snowball effect" of the flood. Every time the flood capture a planet, more flood ships appear, and they spread out, looking for other planets. And the cycle repeats.

Yes, and it happens upon colonization. However, any flood captured planet CAN spawn flood raids.

They can't take starbases, which makes them one of the few effective defenses. The rest of the structures and defenses are all fair game though.
ok cool, I remember that in the current version they could take defenses, they took my super MACs and killed my fleet the first time I fought them :(
if the flood control 20 planets will flood raids lauch from every planet?

Not sure if this strategy will work but i try to hold 5-7 planets and completely fortify them. I can hold these planets for a very long time and I wont need barely any ships for defense which means i can focus on pushing on enemies or i guess flood or you can always camp your star.
You know what would be epic? If when you get attacked by the flood a special flood song plays, similar to the how if you get attacked normally it switches to a combat song except for flood.

Something I've been meaning to ask but keep forgetting is, Why is it that i will spam and spam the flood with ships and everytime get my fleet wiped from existence, but when i add in an easy ai they clear the flood out without a problem?
Is the ai armed with nothing but napalm?
Also if the flood capture a shipyard can they build more flood spore carriers?

Great Use of the "Signs" theme
i would love the Halo 1 "flood" theme to play when you fight the flood,, that would make me scared all right, that creepy *** song.....
oh i remember that theme, that was the best one for flood. if they dont use that as the file for when they invade, but they make the string for it to play, i may have to replace it with that myself
