Hello everyone! Sancho here!

I wanted to give you all a much needed preview of things to come for Sins of the Prophets Sound! As the programming team is busy reconstructing the game to purge bugs, we've been working hard on a sound update that will rock your socks off!

First off, The Covenant User Interface is getting a much needed face-lift and the old placeholder is out! (Sancho is not the best Elite admittedly) I'm pleased to announce the addition of I'mNotJamesEarlJones to the Sotp Vocal Talent! He will be playing an Elite Arbiter tasked with updating the fleet-master of vital naval information. Enjoy!

We are also happy to introduce our newest staff member: MattP. MattP is a SFX artist that has been assisting replacement efforts of all of the Vanilla SOASE SFX with our own, to truly make this a total conversion Mod. Here are a few things he's been cooking up for you to devour with your eardrums. (super stoked for the plasma boiling metal sound)

Lastly, Waseem Faraz Butt has remastered several prominent tracks from the Sins of the Prophets score, and has made them available for you to download! Now you can enjoy the score of SotP to your hearts content! (#TotallyHaveItOnRepeatRightNow)

The Covenant had about 5000 known vessels at the start of the war.

Well if you put all of the 800 ships, all known and possible Super MAC platforms and 5000 Covenant ships maybe at Earth in one gigantic battle... we are talking about 800-2000 MAC rounds all firing at Covenant ships at once. And against the more weaker Covenant ships or ships with disabled shields, then they will have a full barrage of hundreds of thousands of Archer missiles impacting in their hulls maybe not to destroy but to severely fracture and put the ships out of combat. Then we have Shiva nukes, and with 800 ships they usually have about 3 nukes per ship, so then the covenant has to deal with over 2,400 nukes detonating around their fleet possibly destroying some ships and wiping out large amounts of fighters. I'm thinking that the UNSC could probably destroy about 1,500-2,500 Covenant ships before being totally annihilated. Let's face it, without the aid from the Sangheili at the very end of the war, humanity was days away from extinction. Yes this is quite random but I just wanted to put my thoughts in.

Actually they weren't because the high charity fleets were engaging one another over delta halo and there was a large number of elite ships that orbited their homeworld, plus the destruction of 2000 covenant warships prior to the master chief successfully returning home after blowing up the first halo. In reality only a few hundred covenant warships actually went to earth and then even fewer were against humanity with the new found alliance. Im not humanity would win but i am saying that the battle could of easily gone in humanity's favour were it not for truth's ship since the rest of humanitys warships were en-route to earth while the covenant could only devote a limited number of resources

Adding to my previous comment don't forget that in the book "Contact Harvest" it is revealed that many of the ships in the covenant were simple merchant vessels so lets say like 1000 or so. Either way only a few hundred covie war ships were at the battle.

problem was that Earths colonies were so numerous and so spread out that the covenant had to slowly find and destroy each and every single colony lest the prophets big secret about humanity be revealed!

If it's possible wouldnt you want variation between the factions fleet capacity and fleet cap. e.g. UNSC having a larger fleet cap then the covenant, and the forerunners having a highly reduced cap.

That has been achieved not by altering the limits, but setting the supply required for ships at different levels for each faction.

Wouldn't you want to keep the maximum supply of the UNSC lower than that of the Covenant? After all, the Covenant has so many more ships than the UNSC. It would still be fair as long as the build time and resource requirements are ridiculously high. Same for the Forerunners.
