Hello Sins of the Prophets fans
Sloosecannon here, with an official update regarding Rebellion, Sins of the Prophets, and the future.
Q: Will SOTP move to Rebellion?
Yes. After much internal debate, we've decided to move to Rebellion. This does not mean we'll abandon Entrenchment, as we've pretty much promised you guys an Entrenchment release.
Q: What is the timeframe for the releases?
We'll probably have the next release be Rebellion. The engine in Rebellion has a massive improvement to rendering, making some of the stand-in models that looked bad on Entrenchment look decent. This allows us the possibility of getting a release out to you guys without having to wait for our own assets.
Q: What will the Entrenchment release feature?
We'll have the Covenant and UNSC in the Entrenchment release. Currently, our main Covenant artist, Zero, is very busy. By moving to Rebellion, we give him breathing room to finish his textures without us breathing down his neck, and keeps us from having to wait on him. Once he finishes, it's a simple matter to backport the new models and textures to the Entrenchment release, which has already been balanced and coded.
Q: Will the Rebellion release feature new stuff like the Infinity?
Not initially. We will be adding diplomacy ships and anything else required to allow the game to function properly. But, other than that, the initial Rebellion release will be identical to the Entrenchment release.
Q: What about the CSO-Class Carrier like from Reach?

You've ruined my dreams of being able to maurauder around with my 30km Covenant ship.
Well, be reminded, you guys, that once you transition to Rebellion, you'll be competing against the mods already transitioned on there, as well as the mod I'm making with my development team, which is currently consisting of three people (me included), and we can't find anyone else to replace the ones we've lost. So if the mod development team of SOTP can help with suggesting what they can with this problem, any feedback is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

lol... the "decent" models are ones ported from other mods and stuff that don't look so great in Sins... or at least Entrenchment.
Spirit of Fire (oh by the way - it looks better in Rebellion :P) is one of our home-built models (by Annhilator, not Zero, but they both do awesome work - check the Assault Carrier for his work - all the Covenant ships will look like that eventually)... The plan is to replace all of them with those

question will it be easier transferring to rebellion because u have all the ships already and my last question is do u have to redo all the coding or change some lines to make it work for rebellion

One thing I don't understand is why aren't you adding the super carrier? Cause if its size the infinity is much larger. If not the size. Not to sound pushy or anything, why? And again I'm not trying to sound like a disappointed ******* just curious. Cause what y'all have done with the unsc alone is the best thing I've ever seen when it comes to halo. Keep up the great work!
Several reasons...
First, not sure where you got your info, but you may want to check your source.
Infinity is much smaller than the super-carrier depicted in reach and the books.
Second, trying to balance it would be absolutely ridiculous. It would make the covenant more OP, which is definitely not a good thing
Third, the only model depicted of it is quite frankly lazy. It's a scaled up assault carrier, with literally no change in the design.
Lol. Have you read the books? I guess not. The super carrier came from first strike. They described it being 11/2-2miles long. Bungie took this ship and turned it into a monster 27 kilometer ship. And lastly it would be good for a Titan.
You mean the ascendant justice? a ship that was smaller than the assault carrier?

The canon representation of the ship is the Reach version.
Also, considering the CAS-Class Assault Carrier is ~3.3 miles, it doesn't really make sense for a larger, better ship class to be 1 1/2-2 miles now does it?
Last I've heard, we're using the Assault Carrier as a titan, mainly because it's a good match for the Infinity and would still serve the role of a titan
Halopedia is a load of crap. The supercarrier I awesome being 27km in game but its really nothing that size. Its just a bigger more effective assault class.
The size numbers come from Halo: The Essential Visual Guide, pages 28 & 111.
Also, that's halo nation, not halopedia :P
but basically, the balancing of that ship would be... fairly impossible.

take a ship that's been known to eliminate all life in part of the galaxy and is as big as a large planetoid. NOW BALANCE IT!
Not gonna happen. It may make an appearance as an objective planet, ASSUMING we get a model for it in time and can actually code that.
Making this an open alpha or whatever would help make finding bugs much easier if that's a problem for you guys, you know? Not only that, but you'd gain attention, and would be likely to gain more developers who are willing to join you in your epic expedition to recreate the Halo universe once they see what you got. Sorry, but this is too **** exciting, heh. I just can't wait for it to be released.

how many halo books are out there and are they good
there are quite a few, around 10 or more, and i personally think they are all good

in the game I noticed that the refit halcyon has the same mac damage as the super carrier and has mor archer missle damage why is that
Actually, that's a good question. Sins is very... Odd when calculating damage values. Basically, the MAC damage is the same, but the SC's archers do more but have less damage on the sides. Again, sins is weird with damage values
in The Fall of Reach the Pillar of Autumn had INSANE amounts of missiles so it kinda makes sense.
