Back to work after the holiday!

Hey y'all,
I finally got back to work about two weeks ago and now I actually have something to show for it!

First up, we have the disgustingly powerful SMAC orbital defense platform. Usually found in clusters, these platforms can shoot holes through a Covenant Assualt Carrier (Coming Next update) and are generally not to be messed with. Credits go to blamtroid and the H:CaW crew.

The next up is the Spirit of Fire, which is the largest ship available to the UNSC. Its a "colony/invasion" style ship meaning it can easily make and capture colonies (invasions replace bombardments for the UNSC) due to vast number of troops aboard. Credits go to Chakotay, though I will spruce up the texture on my own.

Sadly we also lost one of our team mates but he'll be back eventually. CaptKeyes went to Paris Island to go to bootcamp so you won't see him for a pretty long time. Good luck, captkeyes!

Can the SMACs tilt to fire at enemies?

I agree with WarCrime, to my knowledge, weapons in sins don't have a firing cone system. If its got a weapon, it can shoot it in any direction.

I may be wrong about this, a reply would be nice.

Thats true. It DOES tilt to fire, because I have the SMAC attack coded in as an ability, which causes it to face the target.

Hmm, that could make it vulnerable to "Abilities Disabled" abilities of some ships though, especially if it needs antimatter (though there's a way to make it so it doesn't, and I'm assuming you did that).

just have the anti matter recharge realy fast
those MACs take a few seconds to cool down and load another shot into it
so anti matter could be a good thing

All MACs (station or ship based)require the entire thing to point to the target, in the games at least

Correct, and in the books too. The team making this mod should read "The Fall of Reach" if they have not already done so. It'll give them a good insight into how space battles work in the Halo universe.

And what are the odds that they're making a Halo mod that is very ship-intensive, yet haven't read at least one of the books?... -_-
