Broadswords.
I like Longswords more too, because they seems more like corvettes than fighters therefore they may be able to flight longer without carrier assistance.
Here is the thing, Longsword are basically a class of Heavy Bombers that can carry one Shiva Nuclear Warhead as well as a assortment of other weaponry. There are also more of a escort for ships (such as Frigates and sometimes even Marathon Class Cruisers as we have seen from the Intro cutscene in Halo 1 of the Pillar of Autumn flying towards Halo after leaving Slipspace).
The Broadsword was (in a way) a replacement for the Sabre Fighters from Halo Reach. This means that we are quick, fast and agile in more ways then the Longsword is.
Broadswords (and somewhat even Sabre's) are more like current day US Harriers, they are meant for dog fighting, and being there first. The Broadsword even has the look of a Harriers. Where as the Longswords are more like the the US Stealth Bombers, they are slower and less maneuverable, but they pack WAY more then a Broadsword can ever deliver.
This being said, you really can't compare the two types of birds that they are. Because they do different things and deal different amounts of damage to the target, as well as carry different types of payloads.
Personally I like the Longsword for it's amount of weaponry, but prefer the Broadsword for its speed and swiftness.
Yes.. Your grasp on modern day jet aircraft is so flawed you really shouldn't have used it as a reference in your comment. Other than that, Can't beat the classic longsword.
And I guess you don't read what other people write. I said "like" NOT "they are exactly the same as". Your understanding of what I said is completely flawed. Also keep in mind that this is a game based in a possible future, and not the present. So my comparing two things from different time periods it not to be take with a grain of salt. Meaning that I am merely talking about what COULD be similarities and NOT what are exactly the same.
Nice job and mission accomplished.
Come back when you can understand what other people say and not misjudge what people say.
You're funny my friend. You don't even get what I was referring to, That being the fact a harrier is far from a fast fighter jet of modern day. Not questioning you're visual comparison of the two time periods..
Well you know if you were more detailed in what you wrote, then I would not have have had to defend myself from your comment. So next time, remember to go a bit more into what you mean. Because when you say very little in a criticism type manner, people tend to have to defend themselves and what they have said.
They're only classed as heavy bombers in atmosphere, otherwise they're space superiority fighters. They are capable of being outfitted with a multiple purpose arsenal and not all Longswords carry nukes, only in specific cases.
Those engine trails...
I like longswords better then what 343 gave us in halo 4 i dont think i know what there called
shortsword bombers i think, they're alright, its just the nose that looks a bit funny!

...I think you have your ship classes mixed up when it comes to the Halo Universe. :L
(Though I see what you mean.)
Sorry but for me I found the broadswords so much more cooler.
broadswords have been around for a while
What do you mean?

Broadswords also exist outside of this mod's timeline, and thus will have to wait for the Rebellion release.

This isn't the place for your stupid argument, please take it elsewhere
Can we go to your place?
