will their be an accessable interior or just as a planet texture?

We can only do so much without the game ******** itself due to hardcodes, unfortunately.

The planet texture is damn good alone, though I wonder what kind of bonus's or access it will give.

I dont approve of the new storyline-take. Sorry, but, the canon was obviously changed after Halo 3 to the much worse.

So true, the first 3 games (and ODST, Halo wars & Reach) I really loved cause I could connect with the story line and felt like I wanted to fight these alien creatures that have the sole goal of killing humanity.

Now they are just not the same at all and I barley put the effort in to finish the campaign on 4 this time round.

I couldn't follow it, it was probably because Bungie stopped making them, and 343 came in to **** the whole **** up. And when Cortana pulled him out of that giant explosion, I threw down my controller and broke Halo 4 in half.

oh my god, 343 is the members of bungie who were delegated to the halo series, they are still bungie but just a subsection. its the same bloody people making them just with revamped technology and art style. and what was so bad about halo 4's story hmm? why don't you think of something better because to me the flood and the covenant were getting old as the main threat. not that i wanted them gone but i wanted a new main enemy to square off. the didact provided. as for cortana's saving of chief, that is perfectly reasonable, she simply shielded him in hardlight and due to the immense strain on her systems by that act she was destroyed. (calculating the correct angles and densities to shield against a point blank thermonuclear detonation would be very taxing, especially in her split state).

Cortana was "destroyed" because she existed in the computer systems on board the ship that was destroyed by the nuke.

no, sufficient sections of the ship remained, really on the area around the composer were destroyed because of the immense size of the ship.

@ Unikraken yeah she "cloned" here self in the computer system of the didacts ship, now I wonder since she made copys of her self and parts of the ship is floating in space I wonder if there is a possibility that she is able to be rescued but with a lost of memory

You mean the Bungie that left Microsoft and went to work on their own? 343 is not Bungie. 343 is the stand in.

Bungie didn't "leave microsoft" because bungie is owned by microsoft. 343 is mostly people from bungie who have worked on the halo project since halo 2.

Bungie is owned by themselves at the moment. Source:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bungie and even if a few people from Bungie still work on 343, there aren't enough of them to say that it is up to the standard of the other Halos.

Again you're wrong. Bungie doesn't even work for Microsoft anymore.

There are only like 3 people from Bungie working at 343, and Frankie is the only face member. Please get your facts straight. Especially when it comes to debating lore.

Regardless as you mentioned on the page prior Requiem is shown in the Halo 3 legendary ending. Now everyone please stop if you don't like the new lore you don't have to worry about it not much else we can do here. We do not want these arguments clouding up our page.

Only 5 members who used to work at Bungie now work at 343 Industries that hardly is considered still Bungie, So no it is not the same people making it. You should refrain from making baseless claims like this. As for Halo 4's story while i would not consider it the worse of the Halo games but it was not far off. There is nothing wrong with adding a new threat the one they added was boring to fight.

Then they should stop making Halos? I think it should have stopped at 3.

Actually, the concept of shield worlds preserving some of the Forerunner civilization has been around for quite a while. The only thing new is them actually making an appearance.

That being said, I'm not too big a fan of the post-Halo 3 storyline as well. Rest assured that we'll handle it in a way that attempts to reconcile the past and present canon gracefully.

*SPOILER ALERT* Your boss fight with the Didact at the end involves a grenade and a Quick Time Event *SPOILER ALERT*

That is what makes the game crap for me, I could forgive it for most things, but not that, and not the COD-esque weapon purchase system either.

The AR is the best gun in Halo. AR shows true skill.

Light Rifle is the cheapest gun in the game, it has the max DPS. Halo 4's playstyle ruined the franchise because the game was originally an arena shooter that made you fight for power weapons. That's why Halo's formula was so strategic and different. Now that you spawn with all the good map weapons, there's no reason to even grab a map based weapon unless you want to snipe. You don't have to find plasma grenades, and you spawn with a plasma pistol so you don't even need to get anti-vehicle weapons anymore. The game has lost its touch at its core.

I'm not even sure where these arguments stem from, though, as the content being shown has been in the lore since even before Halo Reach.

I really do not like that every time we post something either Forerunner or something not from Halo 1/2/3 the comment section is turned into a bunch of whiny kids crying about how they want their parents back together.

Look, we've been pretty vocal with our opinion on the canon and lore changes in Halo 4. We've expressed a desire to put the Forerunner into the mod for over 3 years now, long before Halo 4. We were bringing the Forerunner back before it was cool. We also plan to add 2 UNSC ships into the mod that were in Halo 4, primarily because we want to give you guys a titan for each faction and the two ships go hand in hand.

You don't need to cry about Halo 4 every time we make a post. You've known our plans for a very long time. It's time you come to terms with it.

I agree with Uni, I loved the multiplayer as standalone, not as Halo, but the campaign (Other than the boss "Fight") makes up for MP not feeling like halo.

Idk why but I see Shield worlds as either an double artifact world or just a planet with an expensive Planet research cost. haha

Can i add something? Halo 4 was amazing, if you were a true halo fan, if you read the halo books you would understand, it was made to follow along of the books.

Halo 4 in my opinion Is amazing. The forerunner assets in halo 4 such as a certain shield world texture are proof that the time, and dedication on 343's part paid off. Now the mod team can take these assets if the so please and use them in their mod. If people really hate halo 4 and everything about, then don't download the post-war era download when the time comes. If people feel like they need to talk about do it elsewhere.

Hmm, I think it'd be cool if the forerunner remnant could make shield worlds in asteroid fields and magnetic clouds, seeing as they're odd to manage, and if you did put it in I know you'd find a great way of balancing it out.

BTW why do people really care about other people's opinions, we can share them, but can we just leave the arguing to youtube and facebook?

Description

The massive Forerunner installations known as "Shield Worlds" fulfill the same general function as a human fallout shelter- but on a grand scale. With so many aspects of the civilization to account for and hold, each world encountered by the UNSC expeditionary forces has varied wildly in design and suggests specialized purposes. However, a common design element is an internal sun as a power source and housing a veritable armada of artificial intelligence forces.

Though no Forerunner has been seen in light of the revelation of the Didact's and Librarian's existence, the United Nations admiralty have been forced to conclude that the species is very much alive.

And possibly a grave new threat.
