Remember Reach.
I remember the song from Halo 2 and how sad it made me feel, the death of a world close to Earth's Heart. The legacy of the SPARTAN II program,and most of the remaining Spartans who john had fought with for over 30 years gone.

Even though the covenant lost a lot, they effectively stopped the UNSC's production of ships and other major military assets. In the long run, the victory would pay for itself.
didnt stop 300 SMACs from coming online. or the production of the Infinity
As far as I'm aware, Earths Defense Grid was already online and Infinity had already been in production for years in a secret Oort Cloud.
The orbital defense platform grid over Earth wasn't finished until September 17th. The Infinity is debatable since there's no source on it's point in completion by the Fall of Reach, though it was commissioned in 2553.

I wonder if any of the Forerunner Installations will be present in the next version of the mod. . Would be interesting to visit a Shield World, a Fortress World, or the Ark

Remember Reach, where all things canon and lore were tossed out the window and then rewritten, and they lost a dedicated fan.
Yeah I was disappointed it almost totally overwrote Fall of Reach.
