Description
The small, stealthy prowler is the UNSC's reconnaissance ship. I'm in the middle of coding a working stealth ability that make it be able to slip in and out of enemy planets unnoticed.

Hmm, a rather interesting model. Its not really UNSC looking though. But perhaps that's just me.
dude the oni is a different branch in the military so that means it doesn't exactly look like the other unsc ships.
Hmmm I always thought the prowler was like a futuristic Stealth bomber. Except this stealth bomber was designed to intercept incoming covenant attacks and observe their technology to adapt for UNSC use. This could work but I hope its not a military warship.
Does the fact that it has pulse lasers instead of a MAC comfort you?

We had this disscussion with the Super Carrier, I mean not EVERY UNSC ship has to look like a frigate or destroyer, just look at the covie ships, the CCS crusiers, destroyers and Assult Carriers look different, so why cant the UNSC ships?
Aaah, yes. However, the style would still be the same. Even the CCS and the Assault Carrier have many things that are the same. This prowler rather breaks the UNSC style I find.
Having a Prowler shaped like a UNSC Frigate would be like having a Stealth Bomber shaped like a box
That comment makes no sense at all.
trust me. prowlers are stealth ships. if you make it shaped like all of the other ships in the UNSC fleet, it would not have the surfaces to be stealthy, and aborb radar, light, exe. exe. stealth bombers are very elongated to make it more stealthy just like this ship. an F/A-18 is shaped nothing like a F-117.
I think it's great. Coming up with a good design for the prowler must have been very tricky. I'd personally like it better horizontally though.
It does, see the prowler is built for stealth, getting around unoticed and recon behind enemy lines, so if it was shaped like most UNSC ships i.e the Frigate, then its shape would stick out like a sore thumb on Covie radar
Yeah but all UNSC ships don't need to look like a destroyer or a frigate. Take the Halcyon or the Marathon for that matter. They both look totally different to a frigate but still look as though they follow the same architectural design. I think this prowler looks more like a ship that belongs in Stargate than Halo, however the model looks really good.

no they look think they follow the UNSC architecture because the only ships you see in the games are the halcyon, the marathon and the frigateso thats what you expect all UNSC ships to look like
ok, but that doesn't mean they look drasticly different. lets look at Star Wars Empire at War, you dont see all those ships in the movies. (yes, this is a little off-topic) all the ships look of similar build, at least by nation, like the mon calamari starships, all similair. Who says that the main starships aren't slightly camoflauged as well, i mena, if i took a fighter, and sent it into an area i knew the enemy had radar, i would it to have at least some stealth capabilities. i agree with Ds_001.
but all of those ships are warships, the prowler is not, plus the need for stealth
actualy, the prowler has no weapons that are noted in the books
in Ghosts of Onyx, the Prowlers Captain watched the Covenant obliterate an admirals fleet, not being able to do anything but watch. its only defense is its stealth.
besides, no one uses scout frigates as combat frigates
