A Halo mod for the critically acclaimed Sins of a Solar Empire, that aims to capture the fast paced intensity of the Halo series.
The CRS-class Light Cruiser, or Majestic-class Light Cruiser to the Covenant themselves, were said to be like "luminous manta rays" when seen participating in the invasion and subsequent glassing of Reach. Strikecraft could be seen swarming around the "mouth" of the ship.

So this is the carrier for the covies?
Light carrier. Will be built from the "cruiser" section. Capital carrier is still TBD.
Honestly I love every ship but this one just sets me off on in the complete wrong direction. Sorry.
Maybe its just me, but it seems too similar to the Longsword.
It won't when she's been textured.
Ya wen I first saw this I thought Longsword. Nice job guys, but this doesn't really say Covenant.
It's not the usual shape of a covenant vessel but it's also the first ship which main role is to deploy aircraft and not glassing planets or destroy entire fleets of frigates...
Cool, always thought that these guys were kinda weird. Good job following canon on this design, its good to see something a bit different. Especially since a lot of people have started complaining about uniform ship designs in Dawn of the Reapers, and I don't really want that to happen here with the Covenant (which is something I can see happening pretty quickly). Anyway looks great, and it looks like it should, great job once again.
One thing that always got me was that most covie ships have built in hanger bays that can hold thousands of banshees and several hundred seraphs and spirits. How are you guys going to balance that aspect of covenant battle strategy? If this ship is just a dedicated carrier, as a cruiser it would probably have the same compliment as a regular CCS. your capital carriers compliment of fighters is going to be absolutely incredible. The UNSC may even refer to it as the "Bee Hive"
I like the design you have right now, but in my personal opinion, it doesn't look like a carrier as much as it could. By this I mean that the hull doesn't appear to have much storage space for fighters and bombers at all, this is primarily due (in my own opinion once again) to the small "wings" on the side of the vessel. I would perhaps enlarge the "wings" to make it look like it has more carrying capacity, but like i said, my own opinion.
But like i said, it looks beautiful, keep up the good work!
We didn't show the mouth of the ship because it's still in development, but the strikecraft come out of the front. Big wide open space.
AH I see, that would make sence, i cant wait to see it :D
Love it.
Personally, i see nothing wrong with it, maybe it could be a little rounder to match up with the aspect of other covenant ships.... but i think this wouldn't be to far aways from the designs of the halo universe, seeing as though a lot of things are shaped like various creatures IE the scorpion tank and the locust
These actually appeared in Halo 4, if you would like to draw some inspiration from that. I suggest checking out the Halopedia article, as they explain it much better than I was ever able to.
Great job so far!
Plus, the Essential Visual Guide says that it is 300m long and 145m wide, so technically this is inaccurate as it has a different length to width ratio.
Indeed. I hope the devs look at these comments. The CRS shows up in Halo 4 and looks like a smaller version of the CCS. Not all that interesting, but apparently canon.
