Poll: Updating Player Portraits
Sinsoftheprophets.com
The big question I have is whether or not we should include known characters from the Halo universe. Our previous stance on this was that we kept the characters generic so that the player could become the admiral/fleetmaster rather than the player taking over a known character with defined behaviors and actions within the lore, which can impact player decisions (everyone loves to role-play).
However, as the team has grown this position isn't as monolithic anymore. This is the kind of issue that the community can have a say in and it not affect the health of the mod if you choose a less favorable outcome, so I thought it best to create a poll. You will need to create an account to vote, but account creation is fast and easy. Voting will help us make the decision, so it's very important you participate if you'd rather we not do a particular thing.
Vote in the linked thread, comments here won't be considered as strongly as the poll votes themselves.
"Wait.. where is it? It's not right in front of my face, I can't look over 3 inches at the side of my screen, please put it in the description. :)"

Why there is a car??????
I thought it was a nice touch
I never questioned the car my self. I felt it was evocative of the "old-fashioned, country guy"-type brass and personnel in the UNSC (See: Gunny in Halo 2 ("Get the heeell outta' my armory, split lip!"), SGT Stacker in 1, 2 and 3 (""Hey, how does 90 millimeters of tungsten strike you?")). I figured that ruck was the kind of picture they'd keep on their desk on their ship. "Boy, somtimes I wish I was around back when sh*t was simpler. Good old internal combustion vehicles like my baby back home."
I'd say put them in and have them unlock with a certain technology and have an option that disables them.
Might I ask.... what character does that old car represent?
It's a mystery.
truck confirmed for mystery machine
It's a TARDIS, obviously...
The better question is...
What character doesn't the old car represent?
On another note, the inclusion of Mendicant Bias/flood corrupted AI doesn't mean the Flood will be playable, right?
Might I suggest Elite's in more fancy admiral or general type armor? Like they had in Halo: Reach for example.
is ur-didact going to be a player picture..?
