A Halo mod for the critically acclaimed Sins of a Solar Empire, that aims to capture the fast paced intensity of the Halo series.
This is the Demo release of Sins of the Prophets. We have included in this demo release: A Charon-class light frigate in the TEC Frigates and a Halcyon-class cruiser in the TEC cap ships. These models, etc are NOT to be distributed without permission of the SOTP team. Period. This release is for Sins Entrenchment version 1.053. It will NOT work on Sins, Diplomacy, or Rebellion. This is in the form of an automatic installer. It will install the mod and set it as the only mod in the game.
For the Record, Visari+Shiva nuke=A lot of space junk.
On the same note, anything + shiva is a LOT of space junk

a fully upgraded starbase. TWO of them on the other hand turns that into junk

Well, sorry but until you update it won't work... Even if you managed to force the install, it would most likely crash... sorry to be the bearer of bad news
Ok i was wrong, i hadnt updated it... works fine. btw, ******* AWESOME!!! CANT WAIT FOR THE FINAL RELEASE!
I am playing on 1.05, and it works without crashing. When you install the mod, go to the mod path and find the 1.053 mod folder. Cut out the SotP mod folder and paste it in the 1.05 folder. Should work.

I don't care what everyone else thinks, this demo is amazing even if it is limited. Because I honestly didn't expect even this until the mod was finished. So to all those people complaining about the lack of content you can just sit there and be polite and remain quiet about your discontent. To Canadaman and the rest development team I say thank you, you are all fantastic.

Lets Canadaman7 and Unikraken figure that one out. But please, no peer pressure. They have lives too. They want the mod released ASAP as much you all do. Its just the fact that they also want to release an excellent product to satisfy the playerbase, which conflicts with releasing it quickly. We now have a new particle effects guy on the team and new textures are also quickly becoming availible. Please be patient.

Try fulfilling your desires by testing the shield strengths on a cluster of vasari ships with a Shiva Nuke.

The developers simply wanted to release a relatively polished open beta rather than a barebones demo. Stop with the badgering.

is it just me or do the units seem very powerful right now?
Of course they seem powerful compared to the stock races, they're not made to balance against them. They are however, balanced well against the Covenant. As per canon, one Covenant ship can dispatch 3 UNSC ships of equal tonnage. Also, remember that this 'demo' isnt the finished version; nowhere near.
I'm glad they are going to be balanced against canon, rather than evenly balanced like most mods.
But of course there's still balance, it's just done in different ways. Covenant ships are plenty more expensive. Hopefully I'm not stating the obvious.
Actually, they're pretty well balanced with the Sins races too. remember, Charons hit hard but go down really quicky. A single Charon class failed to take an asteroid's defense force.
Haven't really tested the Halcyons, but having no shields is a serious liability. Then again, the nuke makes up for that
in the canon they would be balanced i no that all im saying that they are very powerful right now... and i like it :).

I have v1.05 and it runs great on mine. Except for the fact that I have another mod running that it won't let me disable...
