Here at Broken Line Studios, we are strong at work making a mod that will allow you to playout your space-farring Haloic fantasies within the Homeworld 2 engine.
Imagine fighting for your races survival as the always brave United Nations Space Corps Defense Force (or UNSCDF for short.) or overpowering your foes as the dreaded Covenant. Relive key battles in the Halo-universe. Battle above Reach, Earth (First and Second Battle) Installation 04, Harvest and more!
We are proud to bring you this (in development) Total-Conversion mod for Homeworld 2. Replacing the boring Vaygr and Hiigarian with the UNSCDF and the Covenant.
Feel free to show us your support by joining our forums and telling us what you think!

Broken Line Studios is expanding. We have a new amazing site, available at Brokenlinestudios.net. Also, I have the pleasure of announcing two new members to the BLS team. First off, we have Manta, the new coder. Although he has no completed Homeworld mods under his belt, he lead a community effort Homeworld 3 project, which collapsed due to lack of drive among the team. Second, we have Tzarro, the new modeller. He used to be a team member on the barely alive Halo: Outer Rim Sieges mod and will mainly focus on modelling the Covenant ships.
In addition to all the Broken Line Studios news, Halo: Homefront has had plenty of new things coem into the mix as of late. All new ships, all new textures, and plenty more devestation on the virtual battlefields. Most of the team took a short break off over the holidays (some of us had school finals) but now we're back on track. So here comes 2 of the new models. One of the Shipyard, and another of the all new Astraeus-class Battleship. Although still untextured, I'd say they're quite amazing.
I would just like you personally thank everyone for your support through the Mod of the Year. We were the only unreleased Homeworld 2 mod to make it to theTop 100. And a further thank you to anyone that voted for us again in the Top 100. As you may know, in 6 days, the MOTY winners are announced. Although I doubt we'll get anything too special, I can't help but be excited at the chance. We hope to have your continued support through the rest of H:HF development, and more so on projects to come.
As a present from me to you guys, here's a new wallpaper. Featuring the Astraeus and some of your old favorites orbiting a UNSC held planet.

i have a pretty good idea well i think it is if you look at the SMAC gun you will see what looks like 2 docking ports or something like that well what you guys should consider is a subsystem to put 2 smaller MACs on both ports for defense so it wont be destroyed easliy or dock 2 ships with the weakest MACs so they aim all 3 MACs at the same target and when they fire they fire all three at the same exact time
As i need a halo fix why im waiting for this too be released or a section to be released do you know of any other WORKING halo mods? *sits curled in a ball in the corner huming halo music*
Nope...All the ones that have come before us have died, and all the current ones are still working, just on different games.
Quite interesting, I may buy this game just to play this mod. Is homeworld 2 any good?
it's quite good man! story, gameplay, graphics...
if not for the uber hard 14th level of the campaign (or is it the 13th?), this game would still be in my hard drive. as such, i still haven't finished the game since i bought it 4 years ago.
anyway, if you're a space opera fan or a sci-fi afficionado, buy Homeworld 2!
Which level is that?
the level where you get to commandeer the progenitor dreadnaught. i don't know about you but it was way too hard for me
The one where you gotta destroy makaan.
You could always completely finish the UNSC as Part I of your project, then release the Covenant later on as Part II.
Completing the UNSC is still a way off, despite having nearly all the models done, we still need them textured and in game to a proper standard, the latter is why we don't want to release them without the Covenant, as we don't want to begin balancing work until we have something to balance them against.
